If its not the Sherriff then perhaps its Abby's old boyfriend, but I still think its the sherriff.Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment

Re: Anyone Gonna Check Out Harper's Island?
I didn't see it brought up at all but any thoughts as to who is the guy with the messed up face that we saw when the dog was chasing Trish and her dad and then saw him again in the cabin that JD went in to?Comment

I think that's Wakefield. But he didn't commit the murders and now he's laying low because everyone thinks he's dead.Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment

Re: Anyone Gonna Check Out Harper's Island?
If it is Wakefield though and JD knows it is Wakefield why was JD trying to pin the new murders on Wakefield being back? By JD showing up at the cabin door my impression is that the guy with the messed up face and JD are friendly.Comment

Re: Anyone Gonna Check Out Harper's Island?
I've read on several sites that the burnt face guy is named Cole Harkin. According to wiki, and I know anyone can write stuff on there but I've seen it on other sites to. it says:
Cole Harkin
The Survivor (Portrayed by Dean Wray)
Cole Harkin was one of the two officers attacked by John Wakefield during his rampage. He was caught in a boat explosion that burned his face and the entire right side of his body. He was sent to Seattle for treatment and returned to the island months later. He now lives as a recluse in the woods, with a German shepard dog, perhaps to hide his burned face from others. In the 5th episode, Thomas and Trish trespassed on his land and he sent his dog to attack them. Thomas managed to kill the dog and they escaped. Harkin is also looking after Lucy's dog, Gigi.
Appearances: Episodes 5, 6Comment

Re: Anyone Gonna Check Out Harper's Island?
Another good episode last night. I won't spoil anything but I will say they show the background story of Abby's relationship with Jimmy before the Wakefield stuff started.Comment

Re: Anyone Gonna Check Out Harper's Island?
Good episode. Pretty sure Abby is Wakefield's daughter and Abby's mom was with the sherriff because he was the safe bet and better provider. Thats why it was easy to ship Abby off. I mean with a murderer loose on the island, if you were the sherriff, wouldn't you have your daughter with you AT ALL TIMES?Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment

Re: Anyone Gonna Check Out Harper's Island?
Also that Abby's mom said he's been good to us, and I seem to remember the sheriff saying something that made me feel that she wasn't his.
I'm really starting to wonder if the small odd things we are focusing on are the result of bad writing, or are cleverly crafted. A good example is the last episode where Jimmy stopped by the killer in his truck. Here he sees a guy standing in the road over a bloody corpse with a bloody implement, and he stops? He says later he saw Abby after he stopped, he didn't stop because of Abby, so either he is a party to what happened or he is some kind of idiot.Comment

Re: Anyone Gonna Check Out Harper's Island?
Just got caught up on all the episodes I had taped and sorry but unless I'm missing something bigtime...this show is just going in circles.
If it was Wakefield and the whole Abby storyline, Why did he and is he killing all these other people? Is he just an unfocused killer and can't keep his eye on the goal?
Then we get little things like despite seeing Wakefields face in photos...when Abby stumbles upon him, they hide his face. That creates confusion in the narrative. So when Jimmy gives his off-logic reason for stopping, we're left to not trust it.
In fact, we're lead to not trust ANYTHING. Absolutley nobody can be assumed to be innocent because of the way the narrative is laid out. Nobody is off the hook, not even the "dead" people.
I'm sticking with the show out of an investment in what is promised, more than what has been delivered to me so far.
I'm pretty sure I'll be mad at myself for sticking to it.Comment
