Wakefield. He's alive,the body belonged to someone else. However there was no indication he was working alone. It appears reasonable that Jimmy is in on it.

I never noticed Abby and Trish are both played by actresses with the same last name but they're not related.

Yeah, this just makes no kind of sense. The sheriff just keeps corpses laying around "just in case" he has to fake a death? So here is what happens, Wakefield kills several people on a small island, sheriff shoots Wakefield, people continue to look for Wakefield yet somehow he gets off the island wounded, sheriff gets some corpse to say is Wakefield, coroner independently confirms it's Wakefield. Nonsense.

Does it even explain why the Sheriff covered up the fact a serial killer he was suppose to have killed was still alive?

Aw, I wish I had never started watching this show...

I get from the "plot" that the sheriff shot Wakefieild (figured it killed him) but never found the body so he buried somebody else to put an end to it. Dumb but just logical enough for a crappy horror film/TV show.

Two things...As more people die, It becomes clearer that the remaining charaters are, for the most part, not all that well written/acted.

And two, we have reached that point in a horror movie/show where everybody falls into two catagories. Stupid or foolishly brave prone to do stupid things. I'll hang in as this thing limps to a finish but I'm kinda disappointed.

How is it logical at all? Earlier in the show the coroner/island doctor and the sheriff had a private conversation about how Wakefield was definitely dead because the doc did the autopsy himself (this was after they found the ink in staged suicide chick). So the sheriff somehow finds a gunshot victim on a small island that nobody will recognize or miss and somehow the doc never saw even a picture of Wakefield in the paper?

Dude...I said it was logical for the horror genre. That doesn't make it logical anywhere else. I'm the first to point out how stupid some of this is, but I'm just saying they set up a HORROR GENRE reason why he'd pretend Wakefield was dead and still not be in league with him.

Seems likely he is. The cops mentioned the headspade was for whales,that dude got harpooned and obviously the incident in the last episode. Maybe Jimmy is Wakefield's kid wich makes Abby his half sister wich makes the whole ex thing .

Yeah, thats what I was thinking too. Jimmy is somehow tangled in all of this. That would mean than Jimmy = Jethro and Abby = Ellie May and they were doing the Hill Billy Shuffle. Now that would be funny.

It better not be just Wakefield doing all this, I will be pissed. Why have us sit through 13 episodes to try and figure out whodunit only to have them reveal the killer 3 episodes from the end?

The sheriff and Maggie are no longer around so my two guesses are dead. no pun intended.

If I had to make a guess now I think it could be Nikki who manages the cannery. I wouldn't be surprised if she wasn't Wakefield's daughter. I bet those underground tunnels lead to the cannery and she could have been the one who tried to pull Abby out of that small tunnel.

I think it was Wakefield who was impersonating the sheriff and killed those two officers but I think Nikki is the one doing the rest of the murders. Meaning she kills them and Wakefield strings them into the trees and harpoon's them to tree trunks, etc.

It was pretty odd for her to turn up right out of the blue after the explosion at the marina. We haven't seen her for a few episodes and she just appears out of nowhere.

Then again she probably will be killed in the first 5 minutes in the next episode and ruin this theory.
