    Who are some "forgotten bands" that you think folks should rediscover?

    Who are some bands/songs that have gradually slipped into oblivion that you personally wish more folks knew about/listened to?

    I was messing around on youtube and came across a few from my High School/College years back in the 90s.

    The Band - I know back in time they were at the top of the world for a while, but I would say that have been forgotten in modern times. The best country-rock band in their day (Eagles who?)

      Nice call on both Jeff Buckley (my fav by him is "So Real") and Iggy Pop (Passenger is also my fav by him).

          The best band that never was. Don't just listen to their hits (No Matter What, Baby Blue, Without You, Day After Day) but pick up Wish You Were Here album...a masterpiece!

                    I have it. It's a pretty solid cover. I picked up the Failure Tribute Album off of itunes. Some pretty great covers on there as well.

                      Local H! Fun band who's still putting out songs, but will forever be known as the band with the "copacetic song"
