I've had a crush on Portia since Ally McBeal, but the secretary is growing on me.

While I'm pretty sure the character is not a secretary...I've got no idea what she actually DOES instead.

She does something administrative, I think. In the flashback, her duties were secretarial, and when she was stuck in Ted's office, she had some reports to do. She might not literally be a secretary, but she definitely is in administration. In any event, she's aight.

The actress who plays Linda came and ordered a came from my Baskin-Robbins today. I KNEW she looked familiar, and was thinking about where I knew her from all day. She was extremely nice and proper. I wish I realized who she was, would have told her I love character on the show.

Could ABC suck any more at scheduling this show?

I just went to watch this week's off my DVR, only to find that something else was on. Then I went online and discovered they are apparently waiting until August 11th and airing the final two episodes back-to-back? WTF? Doesn't bode well for our friends at Veridian Dynamics...

Yeah, I clicked on my DVR only to fast forward through one of those wonky Bachelor/Trampette programs.

                    About flipped my wig.

The show has already been renewed for next year.

I ended up watching five minutes of that crap on television, hoping, praying that it just ran over and Better Off Ted will jump in.

Once I saw that the girl didn't know what to do, I realized that she wasn't going to make a decision for another 25 minutes and switched back to the Yankees game.

And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Same here. Also, it sucks that the final two episodes aren't going to be shown until the 11th.

Last night's first episode was great. I haven't enjoyed the second half of the season as much as the first half, but I thought both of last night's episodes were solid.

Yeah, The second half has been a bit uneven at times but both last night were great. My new favorite phrase now is "the Rodeo not taken"

And have I just been missing it but why did their doors in the second episode have code numbers instead of nameplates? It was like x2-1342 instead of Veronica.
