    Seagal, Van Damme-Unite

In announcing the new company, Moyer and Semenza have also announced their first production: Weapon. This film will unite two of the world's biggest names in action and thrillers, Steven Seagal and Jean-Claude Van Damme, who have never appeared in a film together — until now. Moshe Diamont will also produce the film which is written by Aaron Rahsaan Thomas (Numb3rs; Friday Night Lights).

In Weapon, Jack Conway (Steven Seagal) and Derek Chase (Jean-Claude Van Damme) are the two best assassins in the world — but unknown to each other. While Conway is a master sharpshooter, Chase is equally skilled with a knife. These two rival assassins form an uneasy alliance to take down the head of a drug cartel, which is backed by the DEA. The producers announced today that principal photography on Weapon will commence in July 2009 on locations in and around New Mexico and Vancouver. They expect to confirm a director in the next several weeks.
This would of been gold 12-15 years ago when these two fellas weren't fat and forgotten. Jeepers, i'm really not sure what to say here........

No he's not, him and Van Damne both have gotten into major shape. seagal just release a direct to dvd film. look on imdb.com if you rent it, you'll see he's much slimmer and in shape. Also you can see how fit van damne is by watching JCVD, that movie was great and deserves all the nominations it got.

This movie should be so bad that it's good!

I will definitely have to get my hands on it.

                        Re: Seagal, Van Damme-Unite

I'd like to see it because of the friction between these two throughout their career. Seagal has talked bad about Van Damme on several occasions. Van Damme challenged Seagal at a 1997 party hosted by Sly Stallone. This a direct and accurate quote from Sly:
"At a party in my home in 1997, Van Damme was tired of Seagal claiming he could kick his a$$ so he offered Seagal outside into my backyard! Seagal made his excuses and left. But Van Damme, who was berserk, tracked him down at a nightclub and offered him out again. Van Damme was too strong. Seagal wanted none of it."

PS: Rumors that Oz Italian boss and strongman Chuck Zito beat up Van Damme are not true.

I don't know about that one because I heard Zito himself say on Howard Stern that they were at a nightclub and Van Damme was mouthing off to him in front of some people and Zito punched him. I never heard any denials by Van Damme and that was at the height of his fame so you figure he would have denied it.

                            Hmmm...maybe it is true.
Another report of the fight was that Van Damme was drunk and getting up out of his chair while taking his glasses off when Zito punched him.
