    FM Transmitter for your iPod

Does anyone have one of these? I have bought one or two in the past, but didn't care for them, but I am wanting to get another one and was just looking for some opinions.

    Thanks,

EDIT: I am looking to keep it under $50.

Buy a stereo with an auxiliary output, crystal clear sound 100% of the time.

Iriver makes one that is pretty good and I think it is under $50 bucks.

Yeah, at this point, you can find basic decks for around $50 online with aux inputs... that's really the only way to go because none of these transmitters does that great of a job all the time. In Denver, there are only 2 frequencies that you can even use and neither one I've had is powerful enough to totally drown out the noise -- sometimes it will be clear as a bell then you'll get interference.

I'm going to be buying a new deck for my car soon, because I can't stand listening to all that static. You could also look into installing a standalone aux input if you don't want to totally replace your deck... but that's honestly more complicated and possibly more expensive than just getting a new stereo.

I had one of the iRiver units, and that was the best one signal strength-wise... mysteriously stopped working after about a year through.

My fiancee has a new car, so her radio has an auxiliary output, so we bought a cable for like $6 bucks for hers and she gave me her old FM transmitter, so much static though.

          .
I might do that. I have the factory deck in my car and it's an 01, and the volume knob is all messed up now. when you turn it clockwise, instead of the volume going up, it goes down and vice versa, it's messed up.
