Heaven & Hell: The Devil You Know

The boys still kick a**, this album is great. Not too sure if there are many Dio Sabbath fans here on OS. The new album releases tomorrow.

I like Dio era Sabbath but haven't heard anything off this album. I heard one of the songs they put out for that Dio Years compilation and wasn't impressed with the vocals so I'm hesitant to purchase this one.

Great album, still amazes me how these guys can still make great music at 60+ years old each.

Meh, I'm not big on Ronnie James vocals anymore. Just not the same anymore, though I guess that's expected at his age, and for as long as he's been screamin'. The only Sabbath for me was the Ozzy Sabbath!

I couldn't resist the temptation for new Sabbath so I picked it up yesterday. It's actually a pretty good album. I don't know where I'd place it amongst the Dio-lead Sabbath albums but it certainly can hold its own. Most of the songs are mid-tempo so if you're hoping for an album of "Turn Up The Night" clones you will not be happy. Dio's vocals are actually pretty good as he stays within himself and knows what he can and cannot do at age 66. Iommi's riffs are pretty awesome on certain songs and Butler and Apiece keep the rhythm going. This is a must buy for fans of Dio era Sabbath.
