Buying music
So I have never bought music using a service. If I use amazon or something, can I still put the song on my mp3 player?Tags: None -
Re: Buying music
Yes. An MP3 is an MP3; you can put it on whatever device you want.
If there's copy protection you might have to remove it (I don't use Amazon, so I've no idea what they do). That can usually be done by just burning the music to a CD, and then re-importing the songs to your computer. -
Re: Buying music
I'm pretty sure Amazon's mp3s (or at least a good number of them) don't have DRM.

Re: Buying music
They don't. I wish they would tell you how much the artist is getting and how much they keep. The song I got was $.10 cheaper on amazon then it was on yahoo so I wonder who is taking the hit amazon or the artist.Comment

Re: Buying music
Same here in terms of main stream music. If they want my money, come and play in the Dallas area and I will pay to watch you actually do something called work.
I just don't feel bad not paying lil wayne or the other artist who have made tens of millions of dollars.
Now when it comes to bands without money, like the bands I like on the texas country music scene, I will buy the albums and song like I did with this song. They are also on tour 300 days a year, so they usually get about about 2 or 3 shows worth out of me.
I don't get why people get so mad at others for not paying for music. It's maybe as bad as going 5 mph over the speed limit.Comment
