Green Day - 21st Century Breakdown

Anyone get this yet (it was released on iTunes this past Friday)? Thoughts?

I'm listening to it now, and though I don't think it has the same sense of immediacy and pop-hookiness that American Idiot did, I like it so far.

To me the worst song is the single Know Your Enemy, every single song is better.

It's better than American Idiot, but still not as good as Dookie or 1039.

    IMO

    Dookie >>> Insomniac >>> 21st Century Breakdown >>> 1039 = Kerplunk >>> American Idiot >>> Nimrod >>> Warning

I don't agree with that. They all seem pretty difference to me. I am going back stage when they come to Sac. So I will ask that one guys question why they are not on guitar hero or rock star. I will say one thing about Billie he is one hell of a song writer and one hell of an entertainer. I still remember when we were in kindergarten and he was on Good Morning America as a 5 year singing a song. But I like this CD. Dookie will always be my favorite. They still rock and they did a good job on SNL last night.

I'm giving it several listen throughs, which takes a while, it is long.

I like what I'm hearing so far, except I feel like the second act is a little weak.

This album is absolutely brilliant. You can say the album is overly long or repeats themes to often, but it's downright a masterpiece.

I thought American Idiot made them into great musicians. 21st Century Breakdown makes them into a continuely evolving success.

Yeah they are very talented. Billie has a knack for writing really good songs. I am still born away on the deepness of "Basket case" It might seems simple lyrics to you, but those are very deep and coming from a kid that was in his early 20 to write that. WOW!

I listened to it 4 more times all the way through today, and it is really growing on me. Billie is such a good songwriter.

Am I the only one that hears the Longview drum beat at around 2:20 of 21st Century Breakdown?
