I want this phone also, its on my radar but like somebody else said I dont really want to goto sprint neither, but I just might will. I also got other phones on my list I'm thinking about getting
360Now Playing: NBA 2K9, FIFA 09, College Hoopz 2K8, GOW 2, GTA4, RE5, FNR4
Next Up: Godfather 2, Modern Warfare 2, Madden'10, NCAAF'10, This is Vegas, Mafia 2, UFC'09, Left 4 Dead & many more
well it looks like its some good news (maybe) Verizon and AT&T both plan on getting the Pre also, only problem is Sprint got it exclusively throughout the rest of this year so if you want this phone now or later this year you will have to goto sprint.
Me personally, I need a new phone now and this is coming out just at the right time, but I just dont know about Sprint. I'm not going to verizon neither, I was hoping to goto AT&T or T-Mobile (I prefer AT&T tho) but I may just have to suck it up and get this at Sprint if I want it that bad lol, what y'all prefer? AT&T or Sprint?

If you enjoy dropped calls despite being in a large city, go with ATT.
I had AT&T for two weeks back in 2003. I cancelled within two weeks and went on my bro's Sprint plan.
Haven't looked back.
I don't know technical aspects, but I'm pretty sure I've heard that Sprint's data network is much better than ATT/Cingular's.
I think Sprint is only second to Verizon as far as coverage, but it also depends where you live, Verizon and Sprint are on equal footing in my neck of the woods as far as 3G, AT&T has no 3G coverage at all for me.
I went with Sprint because it has better plans and pricing. The main gripe I hear about Sprint in their customer service but I have not had any unusually bad experiences with them, especially now that they are struggling. So I really don't understand alot of the negativity towards Sprint, I've even heard somebody call Sprint ghetto which I really don't understand.
I'll probably stay with Verizon forever. I've wanted an iphone, but members of my family who are stuck with AT&T slam the service. It sucks even in major cities, with Verizon, I'm able to have crisp calls even in the mountains of NC.
6 months is short enough to wait in my opinion. It still sucks for Sprint, as these kinds of phones are supposed to lure new customers over, but AT&T and Verizon took the wind out of that. Works out for Palm though, as this is the first time they've been the hot date in a while.
I have never had a problem with Sprint. A lot of my friends have ATT and have frequent coverage/dropped call issues, but I think I've only had like 3 dropped calls ever.
Green Bay Packers | Milwaukee Brewers | Bradley Braves | Wisconsin Badgers Marquette Golden Eagles | Milwaukee Bucks | Milwaukee Panthers
Man, the bad press that AT&T is getting on this board. I've had AT&T for over 7 years now... I've NEVER had a dropped call, and that's going up and down the east coast as well as living in the SF Bay area. Granted, there are times when I'm in buildings when I don't get a signal whereas a Verizon member would... but other than that, I've had zero issues with AT&T service or coverage.

I can't help it that AT&T sucked immensely when I had a 2 year contract with them. I had so many calls dropped when I was with them, I can't come up with a single time a call was dropped with Verizon.

Its past experiences...they fixed alot but they were horrible from billing and customer service standpoints especially. Right now their service is the cheapest but the worst of the 3 as far as coverage worldwide.
Seems like AT&T has taken that mantle now because you call them and they transfer you from dept to dept and number to number for a simple issue.
Being a Sprint Customer for over 5 years... I've had dropped calls from them. I've also experienced dropped calls with AT&T.
I've also never really had bad customer experience with either.
I've wondered often why I don't have these issues. Is it the fact that I'm an informed consumer?
Sprint definitely has better pricing. Never used to be that way, too. Guess they've had to take this stance since they've fallen off. My issue with them was the fact their phones had become increasingly stale of late, with many rehashes of old models from Sanyo and Samsung and LG.
The Pre is a much needed kick in the pants for them. The device looks awesome. The only downside I see is it will be available on their competitor's networks in less than a year.
Also curious to see if the Pre will be updated like the iPhone has in the past 2 years. I can't recall any phone getting the support the iPhone has.
from my understanding, the Pre will be Sprint exclusive for only 6 months. Come the new year, both verizon and at&t are going to get it. so the pre might not be a company savior at all.
