    LEFT RIGHT LEFT RIGHT LEFT

Went to see Coldplay @ Nissan Pavillion last night. It was another AMAZING show, and marks the 3rd time I've seen them since their August 3rd show @ the Verizon Center; w/ the Halloween night show, and last nights show being the other two.

Anyways, as part of a recession buster, and a way to show thier appreciation to all of thier fans who've supported thier Viva La Vida Tour. Coldplay gave every patron leaving last nights show a 9-track live CD titled "LEFT RIGHT LEFT RIGHT LEFT".

I've been listening to it all morning at work, and it's like I'm back at the show from last night; which in some ways I still am considering the amount of beer I enjoyed . Anyways, the CD is also available FOR FREE DOWNLOAD on their site, and I suggest anyone wanting to recapture the magic of thier shows download this.

My wife and I had an absolutely amazing time, having purchased pit tickets and being super-close to the stage.

Here's a couple pics from the show (albeit they're from my cell phone and a little blurry):

I wish more bands did something like this even if they charged for the CD. Often times the best music I've heard from some bands is at a concert and going back to the studio CD can be a bit of a let down. After an amazing show, it can be a let down knowing that you can't go back and hear the music the way it was played at the show.

I agree when it comes to bands.

With hip hop and R&B, most of those people are such poor singers and performers, their cd is the highlight of their musical talent.

There are some exceptional bands out there that are amazing live.
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

"You'll not find more penny-wise/pound-foolish behavior than in Major League Baseball." - Rob Neyer
