Finally saw 'The Fighter last night and loved it. While Wahlberg was solid in the main role Christian Bale clearly stole the show and was simply awesome (as he usually is). 9/10 from me, think i'll be buying this on BR now.

Regarding the ending:

I for one love a good old fashion happy ending with the 'good guy' winning. I know it's probably not as cool as a different type of ending but I prefer to watch movies that make me feel good rather than depressed so I was happy with the 'hollywood' ending. I know it was based loosely on real events but I'm still glad they just ended it the way they did.

Decent. Some great metaphors and paraells. Watching it and registering it as a cartoon made it hold up better than it probably actually does.

Loved this one. It could've used some more...depth I suppose. I know it's pretty long already but it needed like 30 more minutes for some more backstory. Daft Punk,brilliant. This movie got ripped at the Oscars IMO. (Effects and music wise of course.) If you ever need a show off Blu-ray this is it. Crank it up and turn on the club scene.

True Grit. Must see. The young girl did an awesome job in her role.

The Adjustment Bureau. Disappointment. Fell asleep at one point. Sort of like a suped up, extended version of a Twilight Zone episode.

I watched Zombieland and Red Cliff part 1 again this weekend. Bill Murray just takes Zombieland to another awesome level. Red Cliff still amazes me on the second go around.

Just saw The Lincoln Lawyer at the dollar movie. What a great flick! Ryan Phillippe and Matt McConaughey (sp?) were awesome. The story was great and kept you guessing. Don't know why this one didn't get much pub.

I loved that movie and yeah, it wasn't talked about as much as it should've been. The soundtrack was great too.

The Green Hornet-My interest was high for the first 45 minutes-1 hour, then the movie began to drag and I was waiting for it to be over. Some cool action scenes and a few funny parts here and there. Worth a rental.

The Dilemma-Easily forgetable but I enjoyed it. I've been dissapointed with most of Kevin James perfromances, post King of Queens though.

I watched two movies last night. One was slightly worse than I expected and the other was slightly better.

The slightly worse was The Blind Side starring Sandra Bullock. I enjoyed the movie no doubt but when I had heard all these people raving about it + the oscar talk I guess I got my expectations up too high. Living outside of the US where the NFL doesn't get much coverage I had little idea of what it was about and while I enjoyed the movie and was glad I watched it I don't really think the Oscar buzz was warranted. 7.5/10 from me.

The next movie that was slightly better than I expected (mainly because of my extremely low expectations) was Clash of the titans. Sure it could have been better but it had a great cast, pretty cool special effects and the story was ok with me. Maybe it's because I like this mythology stuff or maybe it's just because I had heard it called one of the worst movies of all time etc but I was entertained and didn't hate it overall. 7/10.

Ya... I agree... I mean what do people expect when you're sitting down to watch something involving mythology and special effects. And if you like this genre, then this flick coming out this year might spark your interest... not to derail the thread:

Drive Angry- 7.8

The first 20 minutes of this movie are like a red neck's fantasy come true; guns blazing with lots of naked women and beer.

Definitely loaded with some fun action scenes. Not too bad of a movie.
