I was expecting better based on the comic story and I wasn't very familar with most of the villians. It was ok I guess,certianly wasn't as good as the other DC animated movies I've seen.

Picking this up for my son today, disappointing to hear that...I really liked Batman/Superman Apocalypse.

I think I over-hyped this one up in my mind from what I have heard. It portrayed the period very well and acting was good. Just nothing stood out too much to make me feel really impressed.

Saw the original a few years ago. Enjoyed this version much more. What I liked about this the most is that it is a horror movie for sure without a single jump scare at all. Have to appreciate that when 90% of horror movies rely on them. Soundtrack was great as well.

Me too and All-Star Superman and Batman: Year One. It's not as good as those. It might be better with no expectations/previous knowledge of the comic story. Wasn't awful,just disapointing compared to the other movies and expectations.

Few I've seen in the last couple weeks:

The Children: Horror flick about kids that go ape**** and kill their parents. Also a cute goth chick in very short skirt. All in all a pretty good film. B

King Corn: Doc about the corn industry and it's influence on the American food industry. Pretty interesting but drags a little at times. B-

Until the Light Takes Us: Doc about the early Norwegian black metal scene. I like black metal (though the scene is pretty lol worthy) so I knew about most of the information but there was some stuff I hadn't heard before. Being a fan I enjoyed it, don't know what a non fan would think. A-

Drive: Probably the best made film I've seen in a while. Stylish, hits hard when necessary, and paced beautifully. This film alone may have made Gosling my new favorite actor. A

Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans: Cop moves back and forth between both sides of the law while dealing with addiction and investigating a murder. Seemed a touch long but my attention didn't waver because of a great story. Also Nick Cage smokes crack. B/B+

Almost done watching Piranha, and wow this is just stupid fun. It's up there with the original Final Destination, just a fun enjoyable hour and change.

Saw it about three days ago. Pretty interesting. Like all of the DC animated movies, it starts to great and builds the tension and then falls apart the last third of the movie. This one started very nicely and played very well until the last third of the movie where it became the standard animated comic book movie.

As much as i love the DC animated movies,I wish instead of releasing 4-5 of these movies a year, they could release 2-3 truly lengthy movies. Because that seems to be the problem here, not enough development after the "crisis" has appeared. At that point, it falls apart and becomes too cliche. But in the end, i still enjoyed it.
