Re: What movies have you seen recently?
I've been on a super hero movie kick lately after seeing the awesome Avengers recently.
Just watched Hulk from 2003. I really don't know what happened here because I like Eric Bana, Nick Nolte, Josh Lucas, Jennifer Connolly and the work of Ang Lee. I also love the Hulk story but man did this movie suck.
So strange how they managed to combine so many things I like into something so craptacular. 4/10 from me.Last edited by Jonesy; 06-04-2012, 10:54 PM.Comment

Safe House - Good not great. I really liked Denzel's performance, but I thought it could've been better if Ryan Reynolds was replaced. He wasn't horrible though. Pretty decent action flick.
Anderson Silva: Like Water - You're not going to really learn anything new about Anderson by watching this documentary, but if you're a fan of his or MMA in general it's worth a look. I enjoyed seeing some behind the scenes stuff leading up to his first fight with Chael Sonnen. Can't wait for the rematch.Comment

Iron Monkey. Decent kung fu movie. Fighting scenes are good, but storyline has very little substance. Definitely seen better in the genre.Comment

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
Superman VS The Elite 9.0
Movie was superb. The most impressive aspect of Superman is his personality and belief. Superman refuses to put himself above the law which truly makes him a remarkable Super hero because he has all this power, yet hold it back.
This movie did an excellent job of showing us the out-come of Super facing these issues. The story revolves around a superhero group called the Elite who think of themselves as The Judge, Jury and Executioner. They get the entire world to buy into violence which is the complete opposite of Super.
I must say, I wasn't too fond of the animation style used here, but throughout the movie it sort of grew on me. Definitely one of the better D.C movies out there. D.C does an excellent job of crafting such entertaining and thought provoking animated movies over Marvel in this regard.Comment

Watched Shattered last night. I think in some countries it is called Butterfly On A Wheel. It stars Pierce Brosnan & Gerard Butler. I thought it was excellent. Real edge of your seat stuff.Comment

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
I saw Battleship last weekend. I liked it as well. Considering some of the reviews and negative publicity it's been getting I went in expecting it to be a disaster but I was pleasantly surprised. It's basically a mindless summer popcorn flick, but there's nothing wrong with that.
Up next is Prometheus, the movie that's been at the top of my list for quite some time.Lux y VeritasComment

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
I'm watching Batman Begins right now on FXM and there's a little kid who see Batman on a fire escape, its Jack Gleeson who plays Joffrey on Game of Thrones.
Watched Safe House today, solid film, another movie, that IMO, had a great premise, started strongly, but didn't have a great final 20 minutes.Jordan Mychal Lemos

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
Yeah, Safe House completely died at the end. I normally enjoy Denzel's movies but this one was 'ehhhh'.
I recently watched Men In Black III -- good movie and the ending is very good IMO.#WashedGamerComment
