Blazing Saddles - this movie is still funny as hell. It's up on Netflix Instant Watch.

Saw Public Enemies last night. Definitely not a movie to see if you're mildly tired. Fell asleep twice before deciding to leave halfway through. I wasn't the only one that walked out.

The audio on the movie was not that good. Couple that with being at a cheap theater......bad combo.

LOL!!! I was thinking the same thing but not that particular reference. I was wanting to jump into the conversation but didn't want to intrude.

Re: What movies have you seen recently? Part 1

I saw a dreadfully uneven and boring Cary Grant/Ginger Rogers movie called Once Upon a Honeymoon (1942) Here's the summary

At the start of WWII, Katie O'Hara, an American burlesque girl intent on social climbing, marries Austrian Baron Von Luber. Pat O'Toole, an American radio reporter, sees this as a chance to investigate Von Luber, who is suspected of having Nazi ties. As country after country falls to the Nazis, O'Tool follows O'Hara across Europe. At first he is after a story, but he gradually falls in love with her. When she learns that her husband is indeed a Nazi, O'Hara fakes her death and runs off with O'Toole. In Paris, she is recruited to spy for the allies; he uses a radio broadcast to make Von Luber and the Nazis look like fools.
Sounds more interesting then what it was. At least the movie is notable for being one of the very first movies to use the word "Jewish" and show a subplot involving the main characters being thrown in a camp (though no one at the time knew how horrid the real concentration camps were)

1 star out of 4 (only because Rogers looked so damn sexy)

Exactly what happened to me except I didn't leave, I just kept falling asleep.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

I don't think it was just you. I had the same complaint with the movie.

I wasn't talking about the movie, I was talking about the audio.

Just watched Next Day Air. Eh...mildly entertaining.

On a side note, didn't realize that Friday came out on blu ray. Missed out on the chance to buy it for $15 shipped.
