Here Comes The Boom. Cheesy and scattered, but Happy Madison wants to keep Fonzi employed and Salma Hayek at 45 is still looking incredible. Fights scenes were good and the finale bout was worthwhile.

Also saw The Book of Eli over the weekend. Never got to see this previously and you don't even have to be a Denzel fan to like this one. It's just a good story. And Jennifer Biels was surprisingly good. It's a shame she hasn't done that many other roles (I don't think).

Fast and Furious 6

Just might be the best one in the series, IMO. One funny thing I noticed though is in one scene, The Rock was in the truck talking, and he didn't have his goatee (at least it looked like he didn't) and the next scene it was back lol

Great movie though, I loved it.

Watched Hall Pass on HBO last night. Wasn't expecting much but it was pretty good mindless fun. I'm a Jenna Fisher and Christina Applegate fan so that might have caused me to think it was a little better than it was.

Dark Skies

A+ on atmosphere but everything else was a bit thin. Overall plot was very sterotypical so that kept it from being good but the wonderful job on mood and atmosphere keeps it from being bad so it works out to average.

Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter - I wasn't expecting to much but I really enjoyed this film. Usually I'm not a fan of vampire movies but this is one of the better ones I seen. 4/5

Just rented it from Redbox earlier today. It was a very enjoyable film, but I saw two sides of it that delivered good and bad. On the one hand, Tom Cruise had such an imposing demeanor the entire film and carried as a strong protagonist throughout; he was easy to cheer for and didn't feel too out of place. On the other hand, I felt like this was a film that could have survived without an A-list actor, and Cruise becoming the selling point puts the "crime" aspect of the story in the backseat.

I thought the writing was strong, though. Many conspiracy films recently had too much that was forced to be coherent or feel natural, but this film hit enough of the right notes and let us discover more as the film went on. I think the second half got a bit drawn out, but it still held its own. The only real downfall I thought were the baddies. Not all of them, but this one guy in particular just never really should have been in the film, and we could have removed him without consequence.

I'd recommend it, but I won't be buying it.

I, too saw Jack Reacher and thought it was bad. I don't know about you guys but I just can't get into Tom Cruise's movies. IMO he is one of the more overrated actors ever. Outside of Top Gun and The Last Samurai all his movies disappoint me and Jack Reacher isn't any different.

I've finally had some time to sit around and watch some movies lately, so I made the most of it.

Tower Heist - I really didn't think I'd like this at all, but I found it to be a fun little film. The movie didn't take itself too seriously and it moved at a nice pace. I enjoyed Eddie Murphy a lot. Ben Stiller wasn't particularly funny in the movie, but his role worked. Not bad. 7.0

Flight - The one thing I learned from this movie is that cocaine can make you function like a champ when you're hungover lol. Denzel played a miserable alcoholic and he really didn't show any redeeming qualities until the end. I liked seeing him in this kind of role though. 8.0

Django Unchained - What an awesome movie. I read someone in this thread say that the last 45 minutes or so was terrible, but I didn't pay attention to time at all while I was watching this. Awesome characters throughout, I thought Dicaprio did an awesome job and wanted to slap the **** out of Samuel L. Jackson lol. Loved it. 9.0

End of Watch - Pretty good film, but I thought I thought the story was a bit lacking. It was basically days in the life of two cops. Entertaining, but things didn't really come together until the end. And I wasn't a big fan of the ending at all. 7.5

Even though the clips I've seen from Jack Reacher didn't really do anything for me, I'm probably gonna check it out soon. I've been hearing some decent word of mouth reviews.

Collateral is a fantastic movie. The nightclub shootout scene was very well done and the music made it a great scene too.

Just got back from Now You See Me. Pretty good stuff. Don't want to get too far into things, don't want to spoil things for anyone wanting to go see it. But I thought it was a solid flick.
