Now You See Me - Solid movie. One too many twists (though it was a good one), some real good performances, and an okay story with good effects and "action." Eisenberg has really come into his own as an actor in my opinion, because he put on just as good of a performance as Harrelson, Freeman and Ruffalo. I still can't take Dave Franco seriously, though.

I know this is a late response, but I loved both of those movies. Watching JGL imitate Bruce Willis in Looper was awesome.

Re-watched X-Men 1 & 2 yesterday. Still have great replay value. The opening in X2 with Nightcrawler is par none. A shame that he wasn't written into 3 and then of course it's a mystery in terms of the thinking that went on between 2 and 3. Quite the falling off unfortunately.

I think it was less being written out and more about Cummings not wanting to come back at the time.

Saw Anchorman 2 last week. Think I enjoyed it more than the original one..

Cummings wasn't comfortable with all the makeup and such and declined to be a part of the 3rd film.

Then why not replace him? There would probably have been actors lining up at the door for that role.

I imagine they would have if they needed the character that badly for X3.

They needed a lot of things badly. Next to Wolverine, he's probably the most interesting character. You write him in, and who knows what that movie becomes.

The problem with X3 was that it was troubled from the start with the director being up in the air to constantly rewriting the script to the studio having a firm release date that they wouldn't budge from. I'm thinking if FOX was more flexible in regards to the release date that the finished product would at least be a bit more cohesive.

I don't think that movie needed Nightcrawler. That movie already had too many characters as is. The problems at director hurt. A lot. Losing Cyclops to Superman Returns was a big blow. The Phoenix storyline without Scott just didn't work well. He needed to be there.

Saw the first Hunger Games this week for the first time, enjoyed it and made sure to go see the 2nd one while it was in theaters tonight. Really liked it.

I think it's more his voice than anything. He has an unique voice and it fit Prof Snape very well and it's just ingrained in me that his voice always matches Prof Snape.

Inside Llewyn Davis - I thought it was really good. Great performance from Oscar Isaac and the soundtrack is definitely something I will consider picking up. It seems one of the tamer Coen brothers films, but they add in enough of their style that most Coen Bros. fans should enjoy it.

Also best performance by a cat this year.
