    I have not.

And I can't remember... is Browning British? Like does she have a British or American accent? If the former, I'd like to see her in a film with her original accent. Is Sleeping Beauty one of them?

(of course, none of this counts if she's American haha)

        Killers

From the producers of "The Raid". It was an intense movie, definitely worth a watch.

Roommate and I decided to watch Gone Girl (nothing weird about that, right ?)

Movie is a total mind-****, but it's pretty good. It's 2 1/2 long, though..

Several plot twists and overall a good movie. Surprised to see Tyler Perry actually play a convincing/serious character in a movie. I'm usually not a fan.

You would think that all these ingredients would make for a good movie but somehow the movie felt rushed and just missed the point. This would have much better as a TV series where the storyline(s) could have been developed more.

Re: What movies have you seen recently?

              Let's see...

The Hobbit: Battle of Five Armies: Great stuff, it was so cool to see a dwarf army in action. There were several highlights and good emotional stuff, but I feel like the after-battle bits were just a little short-changed (Thorin's funeral, what becomes of Laketown/Dale folk, Tauriel's path, etc), though I think several things on my list will be addressed in the Extended Edition so I guess that's okay. Freeman and Armitage were excellent in these films.

Dredd: Watched with the wife on Netflix the other night. We really enjoyed this one a lot, and thought it was well done. Urban was fantastic as Dredd and Thirlby was magnetic as his psychic trainee. This movie really felt like a return to Verhoeven's style in the late 80's and early 90's.

Fury: Logan Lerman and Pitt were quite good, and the 'team' aspect of this film was solid but I feel like there it was too cliche' at the end of the day, especially Pitt's Audie Murphy routine. Could have been more that it was but overall fairly good.

Dredd was awesome. It made me a big fan of Urban which comes pretty easily anyway. I've still got hope they're doing a sequel.

Re: What movies have you seen recently?

                  Huge movie dump here:

Her: Really liked it. The concept (man falls in love with his OS) was unique and I loved how they depicted the future. Joaquin Phoenix was awesome as usual.

Nightcrawler: Liked it if only for Jake Gyllenhaal playing a convincing sociopathic cameraman. The ending was great; the rest of the movie merely so-so.

John Wick: Great as a pure action movie. Keanu Reeves really racked up the body count in this one, lol.

Looper: Pairs a super-interesting sci-fi concept with good action scenes. Liked it.

Drive: I saw it because it was recommended by so many people on here. Didn't love it. Nothing happened in the first half and it over-compensated with comical amounts of violence in the second half. Reminded me of a Tarantino film (without the witty dialogue, obviously) in that regard and I'm not a big Tarantino fan. Wasn't a bad movie by any means though and I thought Gosling was great.

Taken 2: Not nearly as good as the first Taken.

                  Heat:
Didn't watch it as much as I re-watched the shootout scene in front of the bank. Still the greatest shootout scene in the history of cinema IMO. The shooting technique is super-impressive.

Nightcrawler - Pretty much echoing the same thing everyone else here has said about it. Really great performance by Jake Gyllenhaal and a beautifully-shot movie. The problem is the actual storyline isn't that interesting until the climax.

Overall a decent watch. I'm good with one viewing though.

Actually, thinking about it right now, I think it would be even better as a TV show.

                      The Temptations

One of my favorite biopics. Maybe because The Temptations are one of my favorite groups of all time and it's always a good time to go through the music. Leon had a great performance in this, whatever happened to him? I think I'll have to watch Above the Rim and Cool Runnings

This weekend, I saw the animated DC Universe movie, Justice League: The Throne of Atlantis. I have to say that's its better than Justice League: War. Even though its only about 75 minutes long. After the credits, there's a special hint to the next Justice League movie. Here is the details of that after credits scene.

John Wick. That's one bad *** mother ****er. The movie is pretty good too.

The score was also right up my alley and one of the best I've heard recently. I didn't realize Marilyn Manson had come out with some new stuff recently.
