Home Sweet Home Alone
I won't get too deep into this one, unlike I did for the previous installment in this franchise.
Yorkie from Jojo Rabbit was the main kid in this, and I think knowing that let me like him a little more. There is a McCallister appearance in this movie as well from one of the original actors, though that character is kind of forgotten about (I guess the movie thinks they served their purpose).
This one actually did something that none of the other Home Alone films did: it got me to root for the bad guys. Don't worry, this was the intent of the movie. Maybe not to outright root for them, but to give you a thought that it wouldn't be the worst thing if they got what they wanted. This one also nudges into why the police don't get involved, which could really be used for any of the HA films.
I'm a sucker for these. They're not good films in any sort of way, but they beat the Hallmark films this time of year and I know what I'm getting here. I got genuine chuckles and was actually satisfied with the outcome. I'm not recommending it, but time could have been worse wasted.
