Oh, I always forget to post here. Recently watched:

- Hellraiser (1987), finally. What a trip.
- Mortal Kombat, could obviously be better but some characters (mostly Kabal) are on point. The scenarios are dull, THERE'S NO TOURNAMENT... but oh well. There are some nice little easter eggs for the sequels.
- The Third Man (1949), Orson Welles was always superb.
- The Aristocrats (2005), if you didn't watch it go, RIGHT NOW.
- Throne of Blood (1957) another Kurosawa tour de force.

this is on netflix it's the ww2 era movie with an archaeological dig starring Ralph Fiennes - I really like it and thought it had interesting character development and unexpected outcomes in places even though the plot isn't meant to 'set the world on fire' it was a nice sweet film with very good acting 7/10

I hear there is a lot of profanity in the Mortal Kombat movie.

That's disappointing...I know the scenes would be gruesome with the fatalities but I figured surely it would be tailored toward teens and the video game - since that is the clientele.

I just never understand why movies have to have so much cursing in them.

You know I didn’t really notice it being overly used but I wasn’t sober watching it [emoji23]

Honestly, I did not notice the swearing, but according to IMDB, there are 53 uses of "****." I really did not even notice.

Is Mortal Kombat tailored to teens or adult fans of the series?

Not really sure how the violence is OK, but the cussing is considered problematic.

Well the Mortal Kombat games are rated M for mature. Not like this is a Samuel L Jackson movie. You really don't notice. Hell the fatalities aren't even gruesome to me. I seen more gruesome stuff in horror movies.

Without Remorse. 9 out of 10 movie for me. Michael B Jordan probably will get some kind of award or nominated for one at the very least for this movie. The volume is very low though for some weird reason. Had to turn it way up to hear them talking.

Nice, I'm a big Tom Clancy fan, so hoping this does well and we get a Rainbow Six movie. I was seeing ok reviews, but nice to hear it's awesome for some people too.

Watched this for the second time the other night. Despite its issues, I enjoyed it on the first viewing. Didn't enjoy it nearly as much the second time around.

Rogue One
Conversely, I enjoy this one more with each viewing. When I saw it in the theater, I thought it was just OK. Watched it for about the fifth time on Star Wars day. Just keeps getting better every time.

The 7th Day - 8 out of 10. Had a nice plot twist.

The Big Short (4/5): Watching it for the 3rd time, still just as good as the first.

Sword of the Stranger (4/5): Super dope animated movie about a wandering swordsman helping a little kid, sick fights. Been watching a decent amount of anime lately, this was made by the same big studio that made Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood and My Hero Academia if you're a fan of those. If you've never heard of them, it's just to say the animation is super slick.

Power Rangers 2017 (3/5): Still like this movie a lot and can't believe they're going to try to reboot it again instead of just continuing with what they already have. It's weird seeing this after MK and realizing it's Liu Kang. This movie will always rank highly in my mind for the little kid who jumped out of his seat when the old Mighty Morhpin' theme kicks in when I saw it in theater.

Who Am I No System is Safe (4/5): Mr. Robot was supposed to originally be a movie, and I feel like this is a version of how that could've gone, just made in German. I like it because in Mr. Robot you're immediately thinking there's a Fight Club thing going on, and this has the same thing, but this kinda turned it on its head. I think I only watched it because I heard it was by the same people who made Dark on Netflix (which I haven't seen), but it turned out to be a solid watch.
