Watched the episode yesterday, thag-it about Swan. He has the body frame and work enthic when he was healthy. However that groin inujury did suck.

I don't think they should of let him go so suddenly, however i think it's about time Washington leaves. I would of rather see him go then Swan or Gamable. Gamable has some talent and quickness, he just gets bites to early on the fakes.

Washington is around 5'11-6'0 right, how does he only way 170lb???

Washington has shown nothing. Him or Davis(is that his name? the big WR) should both be gone already.

I think one of the guys they never talk about end up making it. Seems like Washington, Gamble, the big WR and the WR with dreads get all the camera time.

The show this week as truly insane. Having them do all of that is truly insanity, but it does speak to their mental toughness.

I'm glad he didn't eliminate anyone because they truly all deserve to remain after all of that. I really thought Jones was going to quit when his hamstring went, but he persevered and gave it his everything.

Personally, i think Hawkins is going to take this and go all the way. He's been the most consist player and has the talent to make it. His height shouldn't be a problem when receivers like Steve Smith have proven that you don't need to be 6' feet to be a dominating receiver.

          Winner = Jesse Holley

          WR
          Jesse "Hollywood" Holley
          Age: 25
          Ht: 6-3
          Wt: 216
          College: North Carolina
          40-yard dash time: 4.52
Note: Also played basketball for the Tar Heels and has done everything well.

He could easily be the 3rd, 4th or 5th receiver and be active every game day. One of the things they looked for on the show was special teams ability, that was actually one of the big things. I have seen more ability from him in this short show then I have in 2 years from Sam Hurd, Miles Austin and Isiah Stanbeck.

I really thought it was between Holley and Hawkins. Hawkins did every thing perfect. He put his all in all the drills constantly every single week. Holley did the same though. They were both talented receivers, but Holley does have the frame and height which is probably what gave him the edge over Hawkins.

I have to say, i was impressed with Smith though. Everytime someone told him to step it up, he did something big the play after. He did it several weeks ago when Irvin called him and someone of the other DBs and the following play he got several interceptions. He did a awesome job on the last play to cause that fumble in the game last night. All three of the remaining guys were awesome. So sad they couldn't take more then one player

They always could have brought Hawkins to the training camp anyways if they thought he was good enough. I knew it would be a receiver because of Irvin and because that is what the cowboys needed. None of the CBs ever showed that they could make it in the NFL anyways, they didn't pick a very good group of them. Washington was terrible, yet made it tha far.

Hawkins is on a CFL team now. I wanted him to win, but he was just to small

Re: 4th And Long (w/ Michael Irvin)

I thought within a couple of episodes that it was either Hawkins', Holley or Montrell's spot for the taking. None of the CBs seemed to assert themselves in coverage skills that would put them on par with NFL players nor did they seem to make an impact in special teams in order to warrant a pick over those other guys. I feel had Montrell Jones (clearly one of Irvin's favorites) come into the competition in better shape, he would have won it hands down, but the show is not about if's because in fact, it is all about making the most of a 2nd opportunity.

As for Hawkins & Holley, honestly, I felt Hawkins showed more production week in and out on the show. He was an excellent special teams player as both a gunner & a return man and had very sure-handed tackling skills, especially for an extremely undersized player. Even when being double-teamed, he somehow found a way to slice through coverage and make a tackle. Holley is a Larry Fitzgerald type and I believe once Jones was out of the competition, it was going to come down to what they wanted: size or speed. Holley has the potential to make the roster as a WR but I don't think he'll make enough impact as a special teams player to keep a spot.

The Cowboys coaching staff seemed to choose prototypical size over game-changing speed & talent, but I understand why they chose to do so. The teams has invested 2+ years in developing Austin Miles, Sam Hurd & Isiah Stanbeck as WRs and neither of them have really produced in receiving or returns in more than a marginal fashion. On top of that, the Cowboys have a 3-headed RB beast, and with Felix Jones on the roster, there was no real role for Hawkins to fill in as an underneath speed receiver nor return man. But still, look at Wes Welker, Maurice Jones-Drew & Darren Sproles are accomplishing on the field. Their small size allows them to cut up the defense underneath.

In the end, I'm happy at least one player got an opportunity to keep his dream alive. As for the right pick, I don't disagree but I also don't agree with Holley being the winner. All I can say is good luck and I hope he gets a fair shot to make the roster.

That's because Holley is competing against a bunch of scrubs. I seriously doubt he'll make it past the first round of cuts.

I wanted Andrew Hawkins, this kid would have been GREAT on ST's! I'm not feeling Holley, idk why just not big on me.

Like someone said earlier they just picked Holley based on his size. If you ask me Hawkins was clearly the best player/WR, but the fact that he was 5'7 really hurt his chances. I think with out a doubt he'll end up on a team in the NFL somewhere.

He is a reserve on a CFL team - http://www.thestarphoenix.com/Sports...446/story.html

You start my points for me, they have spent 2 years on Miles, Hurd and Stanbeck and they have done absolutely NOTHING. Stanbeck has been injury prone and terrible, the other two were injured last season too multiple times. I will not be shocked one bit if Holley is the 3rd or 4th WR. He has some NFL training camp experience so it's not like he is going to be completely clueless, he also has Irvin's personal guidance(I don't see Irvin abandoning him, he needs him to succeed to make next season's show popular).

Sproles was 5th in heisman voting and Jones-Drew was a 2nd round draft pick. The ONLY thing they have in common is how short and quick they are which doesn't necessarily make someone good. Jones-Drew has 30lbs on him and Sproles is an inch shorter and has 10 pounds on him.

But that's my point: short guys can play. What about the Steve Tasker's, Warrick Dunn's, Maurice Jones-Drew's, Darren Sproles', Emmitt Smith's, Barry Sanders', Bob Sanders', Wes Welker's, Steve Smith's, Sam Mills', Darrel Green's, Gary Clark's, etc of the world? All those guys are under 5'9". I'd say what does it hurt to take a chance on a small guy who has extra incentive to succeed over going for the cookie-cutter player.

I dunno, I just can't see what positions they'd do seeing as CB & WR has a log-jam of talent right now. I'd say it could be another position, but in all honesty, it might not be as compelling. No one would want to see OL & DL because it doesn't make for good tv and RB/LB combinations wouldn't work because of the lack of roster room there either.

Holley might not even make the practice squad cut with Austin, Williams, Bryant, Crayton, Ogletree & Hurd on the roster.
