Got one, and it looks to be useful for collaborative projects, even if I haven't quite figured out the interface completely yet.

Re: Google Wave
So far I'm loving this thing, I constructed a group to complete a study guide for a final in one of my courses.
But it has its issues, and most of it is with impatience on their end. Here's the big problem: I have to do constant checking on when people accept invites to Google Wave and need to be added to my study guide wave. I have to do it manually, and every person that accepts is lost because they don't see the wave, so they e-mail me the night before I see it, so it takes a good 12 hours for them to get into the wave, yada yada.
My question is, do you know of a way that I can add a specific G-mail address to a wave without the user actually being on Google Wave yet? That way, when they accept their invite they will instantly see the wave, rather than wait for me to do constant checking to see if they appear on my contact list.
Thanks for anyone who knows.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: Google Wave
Oh and just wondering... do we get more invites later on down the road? Is it something we have to earn, is it a time thing, or does anyone know? Surely we're not just bound to the first eight invites we start out with, correct?Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: Google Wave
How are you using it, if I may ask?
I'm trying to give people more excuses to convert to this now (rather than at launch) and buy into it for reasons that they can take advantage of, so for whatever reason you guys are specifically using it, I'd like to know so I can just throw out yet another reason one should convert.
Because I truly believe this is the future of Internet communication, so I deem it necessary for others to be on it as well, my parents included.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: Google Wave
I wish I had this when I was taking online courses a year ago. In our classes, we had group projects that constantly needed to be updated. Trying to sift through multiple drafts of a project (and hoping that it was the most up-to-date draft that everyone's seen) was always a nightmare.Comment

Re: Google Wave
Well, right now we are going through a SEO upgrade and we are using almost as a google doc/email on steroids. It's been pretty nice because when somebody says something like, "well along with SEO we should ..." then that original ping gets updated. It's super convenient. How are you using it, if I may ask?

We are also using it as an ongoing list for cd releases/when things are getting reviewed which is SUPER convenient.Michigan WolverinesChicago White SoxComment

Re: Google Wave
I haven't.
I've been inviting people from my class so we can get a big collaborative unit together, so I'm out of invites.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment
