They weren't the same planets. According to wikipedia, Prometheus landed on LV-223, while Alien/Aliens takes place on LV-426. Remember, Prometheus is not a direct prequel to Alien/Aliens. Instead it's story takes place in the same universe as Alien/Aliens. Ridley Scott has said that not all was explained in Prometheus and he wanted to do a sequel to it, so perhaps the sequel(s) will tie directly into alien/aliens at some point.

Good deal from Amazon...I'll probably pick up the $20 version. As disjointed as the movie was, I still thought it was visually spectacular(though disappointing). I wanted to wait for a directors cut, but who knows when that'll come out.

That is correct two different planets for the movies. I'll be another to buy on amazon since its 3 cents more ill pick up the DVD/Blu ray/digital copy

I think its safe to say Prometheus failed in many ways in part metaphorically speaking, trying to open up the Christmas presents (which are in metal boxes) with a chainsaw.

The writing tried to unveil a big secret all at once in a ravenous fashion that when it finally got to the core it ripped up the surprise.

Bad writing and no sense of why and how. If anything it made it more confusing then it had to be. The whole idea of it being a mistake is ok if he is trying to say that is how life can sometimes cultivate. However the way it happened in the movie was just poorly done IMHO.

I totally agree, but it was so out of place. I think his performance would have been much more impact-full if it was focused on him. In fact why not just copy 2001 space odyssey (which it tries in a way) and have him kill all the crew.

I thought his role served the purpose of the creation's creation very well. I'm not sure the movie would be compelling with him as the primary focus, but in the larger sense of the film he does play quite a large role.

I thought I was the only one who realized that, lol! I believe also that the signal that Ripley received in the first Alien movie was human, know way could the computer on the Nostro could decipher an Alien warning without some genius on board like Dr.Reed from Criminal Minds or even Reed Richards.

Didn't realize this was a prequel till like halfway through the movie..... I started seeing things in it and was like ..... Hmmmmmmm this seems awfully familiar.....LOL

I picked up the 4 disc collectors edition this morning. Just watched it again. I liked it even more than when I originally saw it at the theater. Excellent movie.

Watched this last night, what a fantastic movie and exceeded my expectations. I didn't get to see it at the theater like I wanted to back in June. I can't wait to see the sequel and will it be called "Prometheans" to stick with the naming?

So I redeemed the ultra violet copy but for some reason iTunes keeps saying that code is not recognized as being a valid code....I know it's right anyone else having this problem?

Edit: just in case anyone else has this problem, you have to run the disk first then redeem code on insert on that which will give u a iTunes code
