    Chickenfoot

The album is very well done. Nothing against the Waboritas, but it shows how excellent sounding Sammy can be with the right group of guys. I think during his pre-Halen days, Hagar had a decent set of guys in his band which helped elevate his music.

During Van Halen, he sounded awesome since you had Anthony and the Van "*******" Halen Brothers. I think post-Halen, things went down a notch...........but I still enjoyed each album except for "Livin It' Up" in a way because it just felt like an album about having fun. He released 6 albums, a few new Halen songs, a Greatest Hits, and this side project since leaving Van Halen. Van Halen hasn't released **** in the years since then, except 1 album (VHIII, and a few songs with Dave and Sammy).

Sammy is 61 years old.....I hope he ends his career with Chickenfoot and releases another album or two with these guys. They really gelled together well.

        Re: Chickenfoot

Being a Satch fan is really the only reason I bought this cd. It's solid, if you can put up with Hagar and it's sure to remind many who listen to it of Van Hagar. His lyrics aren't the greatest, but I don't mind his vocals really. Overall I would say the cd is average, a 7 out of 10. "Learning to Fall" is the only track I can't bare to listen to.

I don't see this being a long term thing at all though, as Satch is better off and more use to doing his own thing. I do feel though this was a very necessary thing for him to do, in order to kind of spice up his career. Plus give him a break from his Solo stuff.

Thought I would add this link. Each song is talked about by the group, kind of cool to hear their stories. Also what a bunch of clowns!!

I don't feel like this is a one off type of thing. I think they guys gell together really well both musically and personality wise. I hope they tour because I think the songs would be even better live. Good album too - has a nice combination of 80s and 90s rock. I can't believe Sammy is 61 years old.

I don't think that this is going to be a one off either. These guys are having a blast from all the videos I have seen on the net and I bet that both Sammy and Mike are ultra excited that finally they have mega bandmates which aren't self centered pricks. I do hope we get a few more albums down the road from these guys cause there is a lot of excellent music here with this talent.

If there's one thing that kind of bothers me with the album is that Sasquatch never really hits a stride in any of the songs - it sounds like he's being restricted instead of letting it out every so often.

They are playing the Rock Hall in August for free, a few buddies and myself are going to check it out.

Not a big fan of the album though. It's ok, but that's about it for me.

Which is why he's has never been big on playing in band.

Their new album titled "III" releases tomorrow. Very different sounding from their first effort. Again, it's like their out to have fun. None of these guys have to prove anything, so I guess whatever they come up it's for their love of music. I was expecting something a bit different.

the new single from the CD is certainly very good, much better than anything from the first cd. I'm hoping the album lives up to the single.
