Your longest Game-a-thon...

So what is the longest you or you and your buddies have played a game(s) without stopping to go do another activity? You know like sleep, eat out, work, shoot hoops, bar-hop, etc...

Mine would be in around 8 hours in around '91-'92. NBA Jam with some college buddies of mine. I went to pick it up on a Friday or so in a real bad rain storm here in the ATX and when I got back 3 or 4 of my boys came over and we got our game on. 8 hours str8 of NBA Jam.

I repeated the feat around 10 years ago with Civilization on the PSX. I called in sick to work one day 'cuz I just was lazy. My wife left for work around 8:30 a.m. When she got back home around 5 or 5:30 I was finally finishing up playing.

I'd imagine there were times playing the original Halo with my friends at "LAN parties" that lasted almost 10 hours...and that was only for about 3 games of CTF or so.

I played the hell out of KotOR when I first got it. Also, GTA on PS2 was like crack. I played that from dinner into the wee hours of the night. NBA Jam also stands out - I remember playing that for pretty much all of my weekend.

Every day for me is a game-a-thon. Longest ever? Probably 12-14 hours or so with Tekken 2 back on the PS1.

I've probably done that getting sucked into a single player game...Play all day, then into the night, just grabbing food, bathroom breaks, etc whenever needed. Don't really game that long now though, not really feasible.

Probably like 14-20 hrs with friends playing No Mercy on N64 when it came out.

We were at the age where sleepovers were acceptable for guys, we'd just have tag team ladder matches all night.

14 hours of SF II gaming on the SNES my first (and only) year of college at Howard. Three guys, winner stays on the sticks. We kept records. we had close to 300 matches that night. Needless to say we all missed class that day.

Alone it was FF III(VI) on the snes. maybe a good 12 hrs

18+ hours playing Madden on PS1 with friends back in HS. I'm sure there are other games I spent just as much time with back in the Sega Genesis days, just can't remember them.

Lol I played smackdown 2 from 12am to 12 pm str8

Longest with a buddy was back in the day when sega genesis was hot, used to have "company" in that morning playing 2 player co-op games(TMNT TIT coming back!) for like 8 hours then we would head outside...lol that was like a every day thing those summers(miss '92-'96)

I cant sit down and play like I used too, but I think Me and my friends did damn near 24 straight hours playing Goldeneye.

My friend and I used to do entire playoff runs during sleepovers at his house w/the old NHL games on Genesis. Took us just about all night and only ended up getting about 2 hours of sleep, but it was so much fun! Good times.
