    Aussie hip hop

Now some will probably hate this because of the accents etc but hip hop is growing rapidly in popularity here and there are some acts that are starting to get some international buzz as well. Even if you don't like it at least it'll be something a little different to what you usually hear:

This first group is probably the most popular Aussie hip hop act caled the Hilltop Hood's and this is their latest album called State of the Art produced by J5 and including pharoah monch:

For some reason i can't embed this youtube clip of their latest single Chase That Feeling: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uq8PyyMbrYQ

Another single from a few years back (The Hard Road):

Hilltop Hoods's profile including the latest music, albums, songs, music videos and more updates.

I'll post up some other artists soon.

    What do you guys think?

    Re: Aussie hip hop

This is another popular group called Bliss n Esso. They are a trio of two rappers (one aussie and one american) and a dj and are awesome live. I went to see them when they were in my town last year and we went to a pre concert party with them and honestly after seeing how many joints and how many beers these guys pounded through before the show i was amazed they could even speak let alone put on an amazing, energetic concert. We even went from the party with their tour manager and Esso to the concert and they were very cool, down to earth guys.

    The sea is rising

Cool mate glad you like it.

I realise it's not going to be for everyone but i think it's pretty decent.

I actually think it's better than a lot of the stuff in the US right now. I really don't like the newer hip hop too much besides Atmosphere. I really like Bliss N Eso and would like Hilltop better if they ditched the background singing. They sound fine when their just rapping.

I don't listen to very much Australian rap at all but 360 is great.

I actually haven't heard heaps of 360 but from what i have heard he's pretty good:

This is a great relaxing tune from Pez called The Festival Song:

Never listened to Aussie hip hop before. I'm really liking that 360 song in your last post, and a couple of those others have some nice beats.

Keep 'em coming. I wouldn't mind hearing more.

                  Sure thing will do.

This guy is actually from New Zealand but like anything good that comes from NZ we'll claim it. It's a few years old now but I LOVE this track.

Wow, awesome thread, I am a big Aussie Hip Hop fan.

Lazy Grey, Muph and Plutonic, Pegz, Horrorshow, Funkoars.

Right now I got Downsyde-All City on rapid rotation on my ipod.

Bliss and Eso are pretty good too, they actually have a song on FN Rd4 soundtrack song is hot.
