what hdtvs do you use?

hey guys, i'm in the market for a hdtv (32 inches) and was wondering what you guys suggested. i don't have the biggest budget ($500 is max). also, how significant is the differences in response time (like between 6ms and 8ms?). i play mlb 09 the show a lot and timing is everything, i've played it on my friends tv and it sucks because it seems like the tv is delayed.

Samsung seems to be coming on strong. My parents just bought a 52 inch Samsung this past January. I love that thing. Blu-ray's on it are just unreal. Sony used to be the best IMO but Samsung has taken them over in the last year or so if you ask me.

For $500 I doubt you can get a Samsung with anything better than 720p. And you really want with 1080p. The cheapest you could a Samsung 32 inch with 1080p would be around $800-$850.

I will respectfully disagree with Husker. For 32inches I would get the best 720p within your limit. 1080p at that size would be a waste, IMO.

You should also be able to walk into Walmart and pick up a 32 inch 720p Vizio LCD for under $500. I have had one for almost 2 years and love it. That would be the lowest I would go on the "budget" HDTVs line.

I would let HDMI inputs and response time be the deciding factors. 720p vs 1080p is a non-issue at that screen size. Go look at any tv in the store before you buy it...trust your eyes over a specs sheet.
