    IRON MAIDEN - Flight 666

I'm just wondering if anyone else has gotten this documentary/concert yet by the legendary Iron Maiden. I've had it since its release a couple of weeks ago and have been listening to it in my high end car stereo at maximum volume and it's definitely one of the best heavy metal releases in years. The way Dickinson works the crowd is simply unreal.

This is a must buy if you're at all into heavy metal. Iron Maiden has gotten worlds better throughout the years IMO and the 2008 Iron Maiden is a Maiden at the top of the heavy metal food chain. They are so much better now than they were 20 years ago.

    Anyone else digging this?

I'll check it out, but those are very strong words with the way metal has come along in the past fifteen years. There are some great, great bands who have taken the genre a step further since the early 90s.

Ya, I watched it on one of those HD music channels (palladia I think) and it was pretty sweet. It's amazing how good they sound live at there age; Fear of the dark in Argentina is freaking awesome!

I got the whole album on rock band! Does that count? I saw them live last year and they were great, only thing I hate is that they wear their own shirts on stage

I made a post about it in the heavy metal topic. I thought the doc was ok, but nothing special. The live album is excellent though and my favorite of their live albums (better than Live After Death and Rock in Rio). I also had the opportunity to see them on the tour and it was a blast. Maiden always puts on a good show.

Yeah it's the concert I thought was the best thing, more so than the documentary. The documentary could have been better if they had talked a little more about Bruce leaving the band and why he came back for instance.

My only regret is that there is no Flight of Icarus or 22 Acacia Avenue on the concert.
