So what is James Cameron's Avatar about? Is it this same air bender character?

I am not familiar with any of this.

Yeah, they are different movies with coincidentally similar names. I don't know much about either of them.

the last airbender was one of my favorite cartoons in the last couple of years.. I love it... but MNS doing this movie makes me scratch my head. The trailer definitely looks good (especially for fans of Aang and anything avatar related), but I hope it doesn't suck. I hear it's supposed to be a trilogy (each movie will probably be each separate book: water, earth, and fire) but I'm not sure how he can fit each book into 1 film... he'd have to cut A LOT out. I'm worried... MNS DON'T RUIN THIS PLEASE

I used to be a fan of Shyamalan's, but he has really gone south with his last few films. I really enjoyed Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, Signs, and The Village..............the rest I guess I could do without. I know a lot of people that hate the Village.

Looks Like he may finally be making another god movie. The three of his I liked:

            Sixth Sense
            Unbreakable
            Signs

Seeing as how I really really enjoyed all three of those, I definitely would not call him a one hit wonder, but he certainly has not been very good as of late.

Well, I said that because Sixth Sense is the clear hit.

The others are back and forth depending on who you are.

I enjoyed Unbreakable and Signs. I thought they were very good films. The Village was all right, but has no long term value. Lady In The Water was passable but not good at all. There's another film that I don't even want to name. It doesn't deserve to be named.

His movies have gotten progressively worse with every release. That's not a good thing.

I liked Signs for several reasons over Unbreakable, though you wouldn't think so having had been a comic book collector as a young-un. The only drawback for me now going back and watching Signs is to see the prominent role MNS put himself in in that movie. It just wasn't believeable.

Yeah. I actually enjoyed Signs a little more than Sixth Sense. Don't ask me why

                      I liked Signs.

It catches a lot of crap because people like to use the argument that it's stupid because
                      Spoiler
                      .

I don't think that's what the movie is about though. It's not an alien movie. It's about things happening for a reason. And whether you believe that or not (I personally don't), it's well illustrated in the film.

A shame they were prob pressured to get rid of Avatar in the title. Could have sold thousands more tickets courtesy of a bunch of dumb people thinking it is somehow a sequel/film set in the same universe.
