You know, until that movie, I had no idea that a couple of US Farm Boys singlehandedly....

1. Stopped the Nazi Invasion of Great Britain.
2. Took out all Japanese planes shot down at Pearl Harbor.
3. Flew to Tokyo and bombed it for Doolittle.

I mean...those guys were the greatest American Heroes this country has ever seen.

I actually like Bay's movies. They are good for what they are. I agree with the guy who says they should be shorter though. Bad Boys 2 went on forever. My most hated would be M Night.

I'm not a fan of Burton, but like someone else said, you know his movies right away.

Pretty much how I feel about Bay and Bruckheimer. They blow **** up, plot is usually weak, and is usually the definition of a summer blockbuster.

I have a few ideas;

George Lucas just because he comes off holier than thou

Kevin Smith just because a lot of the main stream directors in Hollywood don't understand what he is trying to get done, even though he is a great director.

I'd have to go with Michael "Screw plot, let's blow stuff up in slow motion" Bay.

Uwe Boll is not applicable as he obviously is the worst "director" to ever sit behind a camera.

I can understand not liking Burton, and that's cool, but I wouldn't put him in this list...Burton's style is something you like or hate, but it's there.

Most of these other guys just kinda suck, you know?

I'm not a big Quentin Tarentino fan, but I can respect his ability even if I don't really get into it...

I have to say M. Night. Pretty much this guy does way too much for a movie when all he SHOULD be doing is directing the movie. Granted you can write the script, but all his movies tend to be the same, but he's trying to change that next year with his new movie, but I think his name on movies has already been shattered.

Close second place, Tim Burton. Can this guy EVER do a movie without Depp and not make his movie look like Nightmare Before Christmas Part 10.

For those kind of movies, you have to blame more of the studios and execs that greenlight those movies. Those directors are just there to earn whatever they can, but it's more of the studios fault.

I think Friedberg and Seltzer are pretty damn smart. They know they're writing and producing garbage, but they're doing it with a reasonable budget and profiting off of a stupid audience. Unless they think their movies are legitimate films, I can't really hate on them. In that way, they're kind of like strippers in that they know all they have to do is take their clothes off and get plenty of desperate men to shower them with money. Isn't that the American Dream?

I'm going to say George Lucas and Bay. The best Star Wars movies weren't directed by him, while the filth was. He has no taste and no feel for cinematic expression. Wonderful imagination, but not much else. Bay, as manny say, just likes to blow stuff up and when that's all he is trying to achieve I can take it. However, when he tries to create drama and actually elicit a response from the crowd he fails on so many levels. If I thought he wasn't trying, I'd give him a pass but I don't think that's the case.
