Yes, despite Jacksons troubled personal life, as a music artist and entertainer, there will never be anyone like him. I didn't like his music personally, but there's no denying his influence.

He had the number 1 and 2 selling albums of all time. And to be honest I don't see anyone breaking that for a LONG time.

          RIP

I'm stunned by the news. I grew up listening to Thriller and Bad and despite what he did or didn't do in his personal life, I always highly respected his musical and performing abilities.

            RIP.

Have all his released albums. Listen to them all the time. Must call up my Mom, she must be crying now.

Pretty much my feelings as well.

Never really cared for his music, certainly had a "soured" opinion on his personal life after all the numerous scandals/reports that came out about him....but this is still a sad, sad moment for MANY people. RIP, MJ.

Very sad that he has passed on so early. He was a hell of an entertainer and just a shame what he did to himself over the last few years. There will be a lot of people crushed.

                RIP

                      Man....

As an entertainer and someone with all the talent in the world there was only one other like Michael Jackson and that was Sammy Davis Jr. I can't believe it. No matter what you can say about Jackson's troubled life you can't deny that for a good 20 years he was the gold standard upon which all pop stars were measured against.

                              Wow...

                              First: Ed McMahon
                              Second: Farah Fawcett
                              Third: Michael Jackson

I had heard he was in failing health for a long time, but didn't expect this. I used to buy everything Michael Jackson related that I could find when I was in 5th grade. Loved his music...

What's odd is that I was talking to a guy at lunch today saying these deaths happen in three's. I thought Swayze would be third though...not MJ.

What is going on this week with the deaths of Ed McMahon, Farah Fawcett, and now Michael Jackson. The darn week is not over with yet.

I am glad that MJ was able to give us some really good music that we can always remember him by.

I think this is as huge as Elvis dying the year I was born.........but I could be wrong.
