    Another Million Sold before Burial....

I know there are million of Jackson threads at the moment, but i seriously think he might another COUPLE of millions before he's even buried.

Posted this in another thread but i think it applies here:work at a retail story and now everything Michael Jackson is selling out like insanity.

This lady came in looking for a MJ DVD. Her words were: I want to introduce the kids to him now.

Sad when people have waited this long to experience the best pop artist the world has ever know. I really think, he'll sell another couple of million albums before he's EVEN BURIED

I don't know...worldwide you would have to think he would.

I wonder if he recorded enough material to make another full studio album beffore his death. I think that album would have monstrous sales numbers even today.

iTunes recorded their highest selling day ever when he passed away. 9 out of the top 10 albums sold on iTunes and 18 of the the top 20 albums sold on Amazon were by Michael Jackson. So yea, people are buying his stuff like mad right now. Always happens when legends die.

I've been reading for a while that he was working on another album with Will.I.Am and other big artists. I was so excited for it. I hope they still release it.

One of his former writers mentioned that he had 100's of completed songs in the vault.

I copped his Live Concert in Bucharest from Amazon.com myself.

I already own Off The Wall, Thriller, Bad and Dangerous which are all essential, especially the first three. Beyond that I don't care for his music much at all.

Yea, I'm really hoping that's true and that they are allowed to release them. With over 100 unheard Michael Jackson songs there has to be a few new hits in there somewhere.

I wouldn't doubt if he had a thousand laying in the cut somewhere. Trust me Biggie and Tupac ain't gonna have nothing on MJ when it comes to cuts hitting the market after an artist death. They already had somebody on the news just yesterday who somehow had some of MJ's old stuff from an old storage unit that I guess he abandoned and he had songs playing that I never heard before. Unrealesed stuff. I got a feeling they'll be releasing stuff for another 50 years.

I just hope they don't get trendy producers to butcher it (like the 25th Anniversary of Thriller CD).

                      I hope his material doesn't get J Dilla'd.

I hear he sold around 800,000 copies of his albums either last week or next week. Looks like a Million is a sure fire thing before this month is even over

That's actually a pretty decent cut from the sounds of it.

Which leads me into the whole unreleased material situation. I can bet with 100% certainty that there are alternate cuts of songs from his previous albums that haven't been released as well as songs that were recorded either as demos or full fledged recordings that were recorded before the actual material that became his albums came about.

We could see expanded editions of OFF THE WALL, THRILLER and BAD in the near future as well as album length recordings that were done on his spare time. I mean Michael did spend a lot of time out of the spotlight. As an artist one does not rest on their laurels and do nothing. I'm pretty sure he has some interesting stuff recorded in the last 5 or so years.

Suppposedly, he left over 200 unpublished songs to his kids. They exist and the rights belong to those that should profit from it.

Akon, who worked on that 25th anni Thriller and also produced a few tracks with MJ, said he won't release the music without family consent.

And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace
