Re: Flickchart: Rank Your Top Movies

You're a big comedy fan. I think that's the first list I've seen like that.
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

"You'll not find more penny-wise/pound-foolish behavior than in Major League Baseball." - Rob Neyer

Still some I need to weed out and some that need to be arranged, but Top 10 is pretty solid now.
Your list reminds me I need to see The Princess Bride and that I need to rewatch Monty Python (freaking hilarious).

      What is Excalibur?

Re: Flickchart: Rank Your Top Movies

After nearly 700 more rankings I'm much much closer to what my top 20 should look like. All its really missing now is LA Confidential and I've managed to get it up to 22.

I have not and this thread reminded me to add it to my queue. It's Instant Watch on Netflix so maybe I can get some time to watch it tomorrow.

They were laughing at DC on page one, but The Lion King is my favorite movie of all time.

Disney movies are always top-notch, even if they do border on thieves at times.

I still haven't seen Excalibur. The heck. Two years. I'm the worst internet movie suggestion taker.

It's an amazing film. I didn't realize it had dropped down in my list because it's definitely top 5. In reality, those first three are more like 1a - 1c.

This thing forces some ridiculously difficult decisions on me.

How am I supposed to choose between Hot Fuzz and Die Hard 2?

Or The Truman Show and Toy Story?
