    iTunes 8.2 is bogus.

For a week iTunes has been bugging me about downloading the new version so I finally caved so it would leave me the hell alone. I downloaded it and then it asked me to restart my laptop, and I was writing a paper at the time so I optioned for doing it later manually. So I restart my laptop today so I can burn a CD out of iTunes and boom, iTunes no longer works and it won't install correctly because the older version can't be removed. So now, I'm SOL with recently purchased albums as windows will not allow me to manually uninstall the old version.

WTF am I supposed to do now? I just $15 in the damn iTunes store and I haven't gotten the chance to create a CD off the mp3's

There's a box that says "Don't ask me again" that you can select before you click cancel that will make it go away forever.

I hate the iTunes interface in the first place. I wish iPod could be synched simply with windows media player...

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Same boat. I use Windows Media Player when I'm on my computer and only touch iTunes when using my iPod. I'm likely going to get a better, larger MP3 player soon and I don't think I'll be going with an iPod...

Never understood the complaints about iTunes.

          I love it.

            Same here.

Everything is very easy to use and it has some nice features.

I hate iTunes for Windows. My iPhone app library got botched becasue of it. It runs flawless on a Mac though.

Have tried to remove the old version? Use explorer and find the folder for itunes, then there should be an uninstall.exe there. If that doesn't work, you should be able to delete the folder and then reinstall.
