Memory seems to be a lot better. I have 5 tabs open, adblock plus, forecastfox, and a few other extensions. Its running at ~120,000 K.

        Re: Firefox 3.5

It told me ad block plus wasn't compatible when I started it up but it seems to still be working. This is a lot like Opera wich I would've swtiched to if that had ad block and all my passwords weren't already saved on Firefox. Videos and the such had been messing up on me since 3.0 (another reason I was gonna switch),they'd get half way through, hang for 2-5 minutes then finish even if the video had already been loaded fully,so I guess I should give that a test. Yup it's fixed.

Definitely seems a lot faster to me so far.

Goh, I had the original AdBlock for a couple years now and never bothered to upgrade. Firefox told me it wasn't compatible (I was shocked to come to OS and see a banner ad), so I went and installed AdBlock Plus and it seems fine to me.

I've been using Firefox, Opera, and IE8. I can honestly say that they all are lacking this days for some strange reason. The update is better but it still freezes a bit.

Just updated. I am sad that the imageshack addon is no longer compatible, but I did get the AdBlock Plus and FoxTab. FoxTab allows you to right click then scroll through your tabs. It's awesome!

Firefox is the main browser I use. Occasionally, I will check out IE and I must say that they really stepped their game up with 8 IMO. I also liked Chrome but had some trouble getting it to run on my computer. Combine that with the lack of AdBlock and it just wasn't for me. I've gotten so used to my AdBlock that I don't think there's any way I could go back to web browsing without it.

Lol me too. Many times I've wanted to go back to Opera but it becomes intolerable after a few minutes, I just can't do it without Adblock. Then there's FfvB and delicious, I depend on them too much.

This update definitely seems faster. With every major update, there seems to be an increase in speed, sometimes I feel like it's a placebo effect but there's a pretty noticeable difference here.

I've just been using IE8 of lot, but with this new Mozilla update I might check out firefox again.

Please do. Or Opera, or Safari, or Chrome. As a web developer I want IE to lose as much market share as possible. Trust me it would be a good thing for the internet. HTML5 will drastically improve and change every day browsing for the better, but IE is holding everyone back. Also it's been proven many times that IE is much slower at rendering web pages and running javascript than the other major browsers. So you could enjoy a nice speed increase by dumping IE.

IE8 runs faster than Firefox for me. Haven't used Safari 4 or Chrome to enough extend to judge there speeds verse other browsers.

I definitely know where you are coming from, and in the past I would have agreed, but IE8 really seems to be an improvement.

Firefox is still better, but at least IE doesn't completely suck anymore.

On the outside it doesn't completely suck, but the core code is still pretty bad in comparison to the rest. MS has done some nice things since IE 7 that show they are finally heading in the right direction, but for the time being they are still playing some serious catch-up.
