NBC has officially cancelled "Whitney" and "1600 Penn".

More cancellations expected today apparently.

I know we all assume cancellation, but they've renewed Parks & Rec and are losing Whitney, 1600 Penn, The Office, and 30 Rock. Unless they're going with an all-new comedy slate, Community could squeak by.

I mean, the odds are insane against it, but who the hell knows, right?!

"TV by the numbers" has Community as a toss up. One dude had them at a 52% chance to get renewed, another at 60%. Everyone knew 1600 Penn was getting cancelled. From what I've read, it seemed like Whitney, Go On, and Community were all in the running for 1 or 2 slots. With Whitney officially gone, I think Community will probably be renewed, especially with a strong showing tonight, but only for another 13 episodes.

Yeah that will be the reason it comes back ... they want the full syndication and not the limited one they will have now. Plus NBC has to have more than 1 returning comedy unless they are no longer going to have any comedies.

Really? That's surprising to me, I thought it was really good, but I like when they do the sci-fi elements with timelines and whatever

I think Twitter in general skews toward the "No Dan Harmon = No Good" sentiment, so I wouldn't be surprised to see backlash.

Thought the episode was more 'out there' than I usually like, but it wasn't bad or anything.

Yeah, I think the show was so surprisingly fantastic its first three seasons that people were under the impression it couldn't possibly be that good post-harmon.

I liked this season, but I didn't love it. Certainly hope the show comes back for at least one more season. I've seen too much good television to know that one slightly down year for a show is usually the exception to the rule, rather than a trend.

This season's good episodes were just as good as any season's imo. The bad episodes were probably a little worse. And there was a much higher percentage of so-so episodes than there were previously (which seems worse since there were only 13 episodes).

Why was Chevy in this episode. I thought he quit before the last few episodes. He came back?
