Re: Community
This show is golden... one of the true hidden gems on television. I'm sure it helps that I love The Soup and DerrickComedy and think Chevy Chase is one of the funniest people in the history of the world, but some of the quotes in this show are great.
"Oh, look, it's me in a dune buggy... with syphilis."
If only Parks and Rec didn't suck balls. Thursday night comedy on NBC would be epic.Originally posted by DaImmaculateONeHow many brothers does Sub-zero running around in his clothing? No one can seem to kill the right one.Comment

Re: Community
Can't say I agree with that at all. If any show is dragging down the NBC Thursday night line up it is the Office which just isn't funny anymore. Parks has been the much better show this season.Comment

Re: Community
And The Office is still great. Yes, it's not as good as it used to be; I'll give you that. But it's still leaps and bounds ahead of Parks and Rec, which is just a poor man's version of The Office with uninteresting characters and actors who aren't nearly as funny.Originally posted by DaImmaculateONeHow many brothers does Sub-zero running around in his clothing? Re: Community
I think you might have judged "Parks and Rec" before it really hit its stride. Your analysis is right on, but only for the first season. This year the show developed its own unique identity, and I think has individual characters that are superior to "The Office". If you can get past the obvious mock-documentary style similarities, I think you'll find that "Parks and Rec"is not a poor man's version of "The Office" but is probably the funniest show on NBC Thursday nights this season.Comment

It's hardly the funniest show on NBC Thursday nights.Originally posted by DaImmaculateONeHow many brothers does Sub-zero running around in his clothing? No one can seem to kill the right one.Comment

Re: Community
Two and Half Men pulls in better ratings than any of NBC's comedies and it is without a doubt one of the worst show on television. Ratings mean nothing when talking about quality.Comment

Re: Community
My bad.
Ratings certainly aren't in indicator of quality. You're correct.
(And, yes, Two and a Half Men is one of the most overrated shows in television history... lol)
I still stand by my statement that Parks and Rec is awful, though.Originally posted by DaImmaculateONeHow many brothers does Sub-zero running around in his clothing? No one can seem to kill the right one.Comment

Re: Community
It was funny as usual. I wasn't really feeling Jack Black on the show though, I felt as if they could have done without him.
The whole "death" scene with Senor Chang was hilarious though.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment
