Re: Electric Football AWESOMENESS!!!
Man this hobby is serious. I've spent roughly $1000 just to get to were I am competitive. These guys spend countless hours trying to get their team to perform. The nervousness & intensity is unmatched other than playing golf IMO. Stay away from this hobby because it is addicting. Don't dare go look at the link I provided and browse. It's crazy. The poster formerly know as "FLIGHTWHITE"Comment

Re: Electric Football AWESOMENESS!!!
It looks neat - like the characters and field - but the game itself seems so stupid to me; I guess I don't see the draw to it. You just turn it on and it makes a bunch of noise, and a bunch of magnets just buzz around randomly.Comment

Re: Electric Football AWESOMENESS!!!
That is not true. Bases are tweaked for Strength/Speed/Blocking schemes are made. You would have to see it to believe it. Your nerves kick in when trying to pass/run sweeps. It's just so much involved. It may look silly to some but it brings competiveness to a lot of others. It's best to see it in person to believe it.The poster formerly know as "FLIGHTWHITE"Comment

I believe you man. At first I was I thought it was a joke, but as I am looking into I see how much X and O knowledge you really have to know. If a person were to get started where would you get a table, Toys R Us or something? That is not true. Bases are tweaked for Strength/Speed/Blocking schemes are made. Re: Electric Football AWESOMENESS!!!
You want a Custom Board. This is the guy who made my board http://www.rollerboardsonline.com/ His name is David. You really do need to do research because if you are serious you want to do your homework or you could get a crappy board. You always can start with a used board off ebay. It's best to find a league in your area, because guys in the hobby will help you get going. The poster formerly know as "FLIGHTWHITE"Comment

DEFT. I'm currently having another custom board being built now and it's 24X48. Should be ready in about 2 weeks. No video game has ever come close to the fun this hobby provides. Peace!!!!The poster formerly know as "FLIGHTWHITE"Comment

Re: Electric Football AWESOMENESS!!!
Do you have a list of rules?
Like can you stop the game and change your ball carriers direction on sweeps?
Down on first contact, etc.Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment

Re: Electric Football AWESOMENESS!!!
WOW I been flipping through that link Skywalker put up and man these cats are sure serious about this.
I look at it like this. It might be cool, fun, and a different experience. But finding people to play this against is just to far between to dump hundreds into something that would barely be used.Comment

Re: Electric Football AWESOMENESS!!!
In the Mid-Ohio league it's within the first 10 yards it has to be front of base by defender. After 10 yards it's any touch of the base. We use Talking Timers for passing & kickoffs. You have 24 seconds to get your pass off after starting/turning off the board. On kickoffs you lay your return man down in the endzone and the teams line up normally and the board is turned on for 4 seconds using the timer. If the coverage team does not make it to the endzone the return team can elect to bring it out or take it at the 20.
Yes we do have league rules. It took me a minute to get used to them. Fumbles do occur. If a defender touches the ball-carrier in the back of the base it is considered a fumble and a coin is flipped to determine who gets the ball. Again to see it in person is incredible. They are having a Big Convention type setting at the HOF game weekend in Canton this year. From what I understand their is a television station who wants to do a report on this.
In Chicago at the National Convention it was on the news. An incredible exp!!!!The poster formerly know as "FLIGHTWHITE"Comment

Re: Electric Football AWESOMENESS!!!
You use a TTC QB. In our league a player has to be unengaged to pass to that player. Of course if the pass is completed you can move any unengaged player & then the board is turned back on and the play continues. Their are hundreds of videos on youtube. The poster formerly know as "FLIGHTWHITE"Comment
