They better allow the Wienermobile in the funeral procession.

Apparently it wouldn't be the first time, as one of the former big wigs had it in his funeral procession:

            LOL

Sorry I just found that funny.

In other "boy they're all dying" news. Bob McNamara died the other day. He was the Secretary of Defense for JFK and LBJ. He's best known for helping to escalate the Vietnam War. I urge you to check out the movie he did a few or so years ago The Fog of War. It's a very interesting movie.

Actually his grandfather (Oscar F Mayer) started the company and the brand name debuted in 1929. Grandpa Oscar died way back in 1955.

Can you really count Oscar Meyer though? I mean the name is recognizable and all, but he isn't really the Oscar Meyer. I personally say we're at 7 in a little over a month, but I could see some make the argument for 8

We've established the fact that the third Oscar Meyer (Mayer) is a questionable selection.
BUT.......a couple of facts about Grandson Meyer (Mayer):
                      1. Both Grandpa and Grandson died at 95.
                      2. The recently deceased Meyer (Mayer) married a 21 year old ten years ago at the age of 85. They remained married until his death last week.

Don't know-his father, who died in 1966, gave the bulk of his estate to charity-$66 million. The four kids got a $510,000 trust and the wife got $25,000 plus $30,000 for the rest of her life. The grandson led the company to their first billion dollar year in 1977-he retired, shortly after that the company was sold to General Mills. Don't know how much he profited from the sale.
