    HDTV advice

I'm looking at the Toshiba 37'' 37av502r. There is scant info on it other than amazon reviews, and I was wondering if anyone has it or has anything in the 500-600 range that will be good for games.

Not sure if it's everywhere or if it's too big, but walmart had a 42inch Vizio plasma for $598. Looked like a great deal.

Sears had a Panasonic Plasma for $599 not too long ago.

      Here it is on Amazon

I don't like to push people out of the price range that they have set, but for $50 more you could have a vastly superior tv.

Once you figure in tax on buying at Walmart vs. no tax and free shipping on Amazon the difference is about $10-12

I'd get the Panny plasma as well.

Toshiba are no longer a top player in the TV market unfortunately.

Their LCD's have such low contrast and a real 'hazy' look to them. Good prices, but not very good picture quality.

The Panasonic 37" tv's (1 HD, 2 Full HD) and the Samsung 37" are the best in that size.

Although they dropped the ball a bit on their entry level plasmas this latest series. I don't think they are as good as last series. The more expensive full HD model is nice but Samsung have the best value 42" plasma in my mind.
