Well it depends how "skinny".

Taking it to the extreme slim side is pretty Amechi, and IMO just doesn't look right.

Some "skinny" jeans can look right if you don't take it to the extreme, just depends on the brand. Certain brands overdose on the whole slim jean thing.

This. I don't personally rock baggy jeans, but my jeans in no way look like their painted on. There is definitely a fine line. They're somewhere in the middle of being normal/skinny.
