Re: Entourage Season 6 Thread
Great episode, possibly the best in the series. Ari did a great job as usual and his interaction with the wife/Terrance were brilliant. A weak season, but really strong finale.Comment

Re: Entourage Season 6 Thread
Blown away by the finale. I don't know what else to say. I know it has already been renewed for a seventh season, but I feel like the show should end right there. With the possible exception of Turtle, every character in the show seems to have reached their ultimate goal and their overarching plot line that defines the character has reached its resolution.Comment

Liked the finale but it felt weird to me in that it seemed like a series finale and not a season finale. It kinda feels like scrubs to me now, where there was a great finale, but everyone's coming back next year.Blown away by the finale. I don't know what else to say. "Sorry, he Jason Bourned me."
Great season finale. Ari going Terminator in the office was hilarious! Same for his speech in the beginning. Since E finally has the girl, I hope Sloan becomes a regular next season.
Matt Damon was gold in this episode. "I'm the one with the Academy Award and I can't believe I have to call YOU back!"

Re: Entourage Season 6 Thread
I knew once I saw Matt Damon in the episode he was gonna do something to crack me up, and he delivered. VERY good episode, great episode and yeah it felt more like a series finale than a season. Everyone seemed to get resolved except Turtle and that's debatable.PS: You guys are great.

Re: Entourage Season 6 Thread
I loved the season finale. Great episode, you actually saw everything come full circle. Really tight writing this season. Not the most eventful or exciting, but I think this was best season as far as really seeing what makes the show great, which is the great relationship these characters have with eachother.
I had been reading this season was a little low on the ratings side. Maybe Ellin thought HBO might not greenlight another season so he wanted to wrap things up as tightly as he could if he wasn't given another chance next season.“Nobody in the history of the game tried what I just tried. We’re talking about on the biggest stage, in New York, playing out of position and asked to hit fourth for the New York Yankees. I mean, that’s never been done.” - Sheffield on SheffieldComment

The show has already been renewed for a seventh season, although story wise I don't want the show to continue. That was a perfect wrap to the series as far as I'm concerned.Comment

Re: Entourage Season 6 Thread
It was - but thinking about it, they still have plenty they can accomplish in a 7th season:
-Use E/Sloan's wedding as either the season opener (Vince comes back from Italy a bigger star, Turtle is still heart-broken but on the mend, Drama is waiting for his show) or as the series finale (one last time for everyone to get together, maybe Sloan/E plan to move away, would carry the emotion a series finale would want while also having the humor the show needs as Drama would probably get drunk and do something stupid).
-Vince's career is at the top headed into the Ferrari movie. Does the movie make him that star above everyone, or is it a notch down?
-Turtle has plenty. Does he finally get a business started up, or were the classes a waste of time and he is going to go back to the stoner, hat and shoe collecting/wearing Turtle that drives Vince around all day.
-Drama. Let Drama be Drama.
-Ari...how does he handle the pressure of being the big guy in town? Could see come classic Ari melt-downs due to this, plenty of new agents for Ari to harass, etc. Could see a Davies/Ari feud as well if Davies begs for a job.
There still is plenty they could talk about, Vince getting award nominations would be another series finale type episode, etc.
Was that a perfect season finale? Hell yeah. Could it have been a series finale? Yes. Is there still plenty of stuff they could do to make a season seven kickass? Definitely.Comment

Re: Entourage Season 6 Thread
I like your, ideas, but I really don't see E or Sloan moving away. He is now an established manager, she has whatever it is that she does, party planning?Moderator

Re: Entourage Season 6 Thread
I like your ideas, and I feel like the seventh season would be cool if its almost an epilogue of a season. One last hoorah with the entourage partying and having fun together before their lives really go down different roads. It was - but thinking about it, they still have plenty they can accomplish in a 7th season:

I feel that this is definitely the way to do it because the characters overarching problems have almost all reached their resolution.Comment

Re: Entourage Season 6 Thread
Give Vinny an award and he stays in Hollywood.
Let E have a nice marriage and continue to manage Vinny.
Have Ari rule the world.
Drama gets his show but it's shot in Miami so he moves away.

Re: Entourage Season 6 Thread
The only way to wrap up Turtle is have him finish out school at UCLA so we can finally figure out what the business idea he has been planning is. Then, he can go to Ari again with a plan this time, and now that Ari has bigger music/sports/etc departments, whatever Turtle's idea is can probably be fully accomplished.
I do like the idea of the seventh season being an "epilogue" of sorts, however that's more-or-less what this season was. Vince jobless (he needs to be in production next season, whether it's post-production on the Ferrari movie or pre-production on a new one. This 'in waits' season just wasn't strong for him) is not good.
All I know is a few things need to happen in Season Seven:
1) More Ari. He was in-and-out this season, between the Andrew storyline and the Lloyd story, but came back strong with the Terrence/merger story. I assume some of his lack-of-screen time can be attributed to production on The Goods, but I am not sure on that.
Season Seven needs more Ari. He's the best character on the show when he is on top of his game. With the new company, we should see a more powerful Ari, which means he has to use that power to **** with people, to blackmail people, etc.
2) Drama needs to go back to how he was in the first few seasons. The strong comic relief that can make you laugh with his facial expressions and outrageous comments. The girlfriend story in Season 5 hurt him and this season was iffy for him. He had some good lines ("****in Superman" sticks in my mind), some very good scenes (the porn store scene) and then one of my favorite lines in the show's history ("Sorry bro, he Jason Bourned me") so we need more of that.
3) Please let Turtle drop the preppy look. He can be more business oriented, but he's a stronger character when he's the pot-smoking, hat wearing, shoe collecting lackie. Which is strange, but it works better.
4) Sloan. Lots and lots and lots of Sloan.Last edited by Beantown; 10-06-2009, 04:35 PM.Comment
