                      Seeing Cronkite die in an era where there is more news sources than ever before, yet this summer has seen Twitter & Michael Jackson dominate the national consciousness, seems almost symbolic.

                        Unlike 99.9% of this forum I remember seeing Cronkite report on President Kennedy's assassination back in '63. He was a calming voice to a confused and scared 7 year old that weekend.
