Our Lady Peace Burn Burn 7/21

Has anyone else heard the new album yet? It's pretty good so far, just a tad bit different in a few songs from their work in the past.

Extreme, did you listen to the album yet?

We talked about this in PM, but refusing to listen until tomorrow when I get the deluxe version.

Seeing them twice in August, Cleveland and Detroit, can't wait.

I've heard a few songs of the cd which I thought were pretty good, and I'll definitely be picking it up tomorrow.

I've heard it. This entire album is excellent, IMO; there isn't a song I don't like, and I don't claim to be a huge OLP fan as EG is. It's just good music.

It has a nice uplifting feel to it.

These guys don't sound bad, I've never listened to them before. I probably won't buy this one right away, but I will get their Decade cd. Seems to be a pretty solid compilation of all their stuff up to that point.

Give Naveed a shot, it's their best album, and their first album.

I like Clumsy best. Naveed is second for me. I'll have to check out their new album too.

Yeah, I should have said in my opinion.

My order, including the new album (besides disc 1 and 2, this is subject to change at any moment, and even #7 is a top 25 album of all time for me). But one has to be 7th and painfully it's Gravity

I haven't listened to all the albums but out of the ones i've herad my list looks like this

                        1. Clumsy
                        2. Naveed
                        3. Happiness...Is Not a Fish You Can Catch
                        4. Gravity

They are a very awesome band though. Raine is one of the best I've heard.

I'll start with the Best Of Collection first and go from there. If I really dig what I hear from that, I'll most likely buy all their cds. I usually do buy all the cds of groups I really like.

Naveed is a really good album and it is rather sentimental to me and is the only OLP album I still own. Clumsy had its moments, but was highly overrated in my estimation. Happiness... wasn't very good IMO but I never got past 4-5 listens, so maybe I didn't let it sink in. Spiritual Machines was absolutely fantastic (their best, yet most different album) and it sort of rekindled my interest in OLP for a time. Just when I started to get back into them, they released Gravity and then Healthy... and I didn't like either one at all. I haven't listened to the new one yet but I'll get around to it soon.

Only OLP song I've ever heard is "Somewhere Out There"...but from the sounds of it, I'd probably like them so I think I'm going to give their other albums a listen soon.
