    HBO removed from On Demand?

So I'm trying to watch Casino on HBO On Demand (I have Comcast), and it says "ERROR RETRIEVING DATA: Subscription required to view this program. Please call blah blah blah."

So I call Comcast and the lady that I talk to tells me with her heavy accent something along the lines of HBO not wanting to be On Demand anymore. I mean, they still have their titles up and everything but I guess they're inaccessible.

I couldn't really understand her, but is she right? Is this for all companies or just for Comcast?

If this is true, I guess I'm just getting the word out for you guys (unless this is a few days old news). This really sucks.

Interesting. Do you have Comcast? Would you mind trying again?

      Thanks.

I've got Charter Digital, and I just tried it right now. I got the same message trying to watch the last episode of True Blood, but everything else works for me (like the previous episode to that).

        I hope this isn't true.

I am more upset that it appears they don't offer HBO HD On Demand anymore.

            Isn't that what I said?

EDIT: Oh, you're saying HD. Yeah actually that's what I was referring to. Maybe I confused some people when saying that... yeah I only tried with HD On Demand, not SD.

Dumb question but do you subscribe to HBO? On Comcast and Verizon, you have to be a subscriber to use HBO On Demand and the error message appears to say you arent a subscriber.

Right, understandable. Yeah, I have all of the premium movie channels (no sports packages). It worked before and I had watched at least fifteen movies on the HBO On Demand service alone, not even including the other ones. I just got home from a trip this weekend and tried it, so maybe it happened over the weekend.

Did you reset the box. I used to get error messages all the time with Comcast and that was the way I fixed it.

I'd give it a day or two.

About half the time I go to my parents' house, there's some channel or another that isn't working (they have everything but Cinemax). Mostly for us it's The Movie Channel, but I've had Sho and HBO out occasionally.

Let's remember the lady I called said HBO didn't want to be On Demand anymore. So I just wanted to know if others were getting this, and if it was just for Comcast.

No problems here, but I have Time Warner.

Believing a call center woman on something like this is like believing the clerk at EB when he says "Dude, Final Fantasy 7 is definitely coming out for the N64 next year! My uncle works at Nintendo"

She asked me to hold the line and I waited for a couple of minutes. I'm sure she asked someone else but I don't know really.

Yeah I'll try resetting it and stuff. I'm only hoping it's not gone.

They are still On Demand for Verizon Fios. Plus on the new Real Sports episode they advertised that you could watch it again on On Demand later in the week.
