Can someone recommend a good DVD ripping software?

Hey guys, I just got a Zune, and I was wondering if there was a way I can rip some of my DVD's and put them on there. If so, does anyone know a good free program that can do so?

    Thanks

Don't know if it'll allow you to rip DVDs to Zune format but the best (free) DVD ripping program I've used is DVD43 (license blocker) and DVD Shrink (ripper).

DVD Shrink is good for older movies. Some it won't do.

DVD Fab is good for new stuff, but it's not freely available.

I love that I will soon be able to back up DVDs I own onto a zune and play them at 1080p

Handbrake doesn't seem to like commercial DVD's.

just used Handbrake on a DVD I rented from the library. Got Season 1 of 24 ripped so I could watch it on my phone over the weekend. Worked like a charm.

Those explosions are gonna be a biiiiiiit anti-climactic.

Plus this thing is taking close to 12 hours to process a DVD I already ripped with Shrink.... and it's a system hog.

I use handbrake to rip and DVD43 for the copy protection. I like the presets it has so you can for iPhone, 360, PS3, etc

It seems that DVD43 is sort of a catalyst program to help Handbrake.

It's supposedly coming. I'd check the Zune thread around here. There was a little bit of discussion about it.

Not yet. But the upcoming zoom is going to have HDMI output.

DVD Decrypter is one of the most simple ones you can use.
