I don't think anyone was/is coming in a physical arrival sense.. Why? A. He told Hurley what he needed to hear to get Jack and only Jack to get to the lighthouse and B. Its obvious Jacob knew Jack was going to flip about things, thus leading him towards whatever it is Jacob needs from him.

It leads me to believe that the person coming is Jack and not in a physical sense but coming to an enlightening about the island, why he's there and what he has to do.

Sawyer at the end of the episode, he was traveling with Flocke, and then when Flocke shows up at Claire's camp, he is no where to be seen

Well I'm more confused each week instead of less so. I'm thinking the ending is going to be a big mess for a lot of folks.

I suspect we are looking at the characters in Real-Town-USA in the present tense,
and all the activities on The Island as some sort of trip down déjà vu lane. I hope
the series does not end with a 'big mess'. It would be nice to look back at the show
as a work of art and not a collection of haphazard scripts and let's insert this
piece here to turn the audience on its ears. I want the show to be a creative
tapestry that future academics can hold to Shakespeare's Tempest one day.

In regards to Ben i think he is no longer important because his character was not intended to be this relevant in the story. Now that we are getting closer to the end we see this.

Ben and Richard will be major players, we just don't know it yet. They're developing the story with the Lost crew right now... but you still have that entire group with Sun somewhere on the island.

I'm assuming that the sideways stories were seeing now are building to something in the that world. We'll just have to wait and see I think.

I think I have my theory for how this thing ends.

Basically we understand that the people are all candidates. to take over as Island protector. Basically the "best possible solution" to end this show is to A) Have some type of cliff hanger, B) Have 2 possible outcomes and C) let the viewer know what both outcomes are.

I know its a bit confusing but here it is:

The show comes down to Jack making the decision to take over the island or not to. I see as this decision about to be made and then it cuts away, and its a wrap for the series. We wont really know Jacks decision.

Here is the thing though. Although we wont know Jacks decision, and it will drive people crazy, we will know the outcome of his decision. If he decides to protect the Island, then the "on island stuff" from season 6 is what actually happened, and in turn we will assume Jack "becomes like Jacob" and the island continus on after the show ends.

If Jacks decision is to not accept the job, then the "off island stuff" from season 6 is what happened and their lives will continue on from where the show ends.

Basically season 6 is what happens on both sides of this one decision so in reality when the show ends we know what will happen but we just wont know which one is the official.


Its like the producers get to "mess with us" but not with hold very much at the same time. best of both worlds.
