                        Why is it that Em always seems to target the people that have no shot at putting a dent in him, though?

                        Just thinking about his career as far as battles go, dude seems like a heavyweight boxer that has ducked fellow heavyweights that could have stripped him of his title throughout his reign. (best metaphor I could think of at the moment)

                            Like who? Anyone he's actually made songs about have been for a reason, other than making jokes about the pop girls and boy bands he never just said **** about rappers out of nowhere.

                                            But then again, their aren't that many top guys in the game that are both well respected and commercial at the same time.

                                                Em isn't going to fight with Jay-Z. No sense in it and both know better than that. Nas was busy with Jay and their feud to even care about getting involved with Em. And honestly I think all three respected each other too much to even want to get involved.

                                                    No good rapper who already had success was stupid enough to go at Em.

                                                    And as you said, there are very few people who meet your criteria of mainstream and generally respected. Circa 1999-2003, I can think of Em, Jay, Nas, possibly the Wu (faded mainstream success), and possibly Ludacris (clearly isn't in the category as the others).

                                                            Tight song from a lyrical standpoint. When the guy is inspired he is one of the best around imo. I still think he made that Jay-z track "Renegade" truly sick. Outside of a good joke I don't see the point in dissing a r and b singer and her husband especially since em has been talking about her and his alleged or real relationship with her for years in the media. I could care less for all 3 people involved but I have no problem with Cannon initially responding to some of the things Em said before this song. I mean she is his wife...Is he supposed to shut his mouth and do nothing when his wife is being maligned?

                                                            I can understand not wanting to hear Nick rap but no one should be surprised if he speaks out in some other way. IMO Em is coming off as a STAN a little with his behavior. Who holds on to pictures and memorabilia for years of someone who denies that she even dated you and acts completely indifferent to you? Why does Em care so much that people know he dated her? Is he writing an AutoBio?

                                                            I'm not a psychologist but the guy seems to have issues with women in general that are long standing based on his open comments on his relationship with his mom and ex girl. Plus he has a tendency of making fun of women in the music industry such as Spears, Aguilera, and now Carey. I'm guessing he tried to holler at all 3 at some point and might have got dissed or dumped. What ever the case, he needs to get mad at people more often and then go into the studio.

                                                            EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death.
