How do you transfer Microsoft Office to a new laptop?

My old one crashed about 8 months ago(yeah I know, I've taken my time to ask this) and I had Office 2007 on it. I need to transfer it to my new laptop now that the trial version has run out. Naturally, I can't just type in the authorization code into my new laptop. So how do you do it? Apparently 49 freaking dollars to talk to Microsoft's help line for Office.

I don't think it's possible. You have to re-install it because you're also talking keys that must go into the registry. I would call customer service, not tech support and explain your situation and let them know the code that you have. They might give you a new one for free or let that code go through again.
