Just watch this video... it's worth sitting through the whole thing. I haven't been as amazed/entranced with an innovation in a long time. The potential is just off the charts in terms of both productivity, creativity (imagine being able to pop out a canvas on a wall and paint with your fingers or make a beat on an MPC without an MPC), as well as other areas like responsible consumerism and communication (videoconferencing anywhere):

Good stuff. The part where it recognizes a person and brings up their tags and blogs is a bad sci fi plot waiting to happen though. TED talks are great. I listen to the podcasts, but occasionally they'll have a video like this that I need to see. I gotta watch the smart blocks one.

Are you guys serious? I think that's just stupid. Can you imagine people walking around wearing that contraption making the picture gesture? They'll all look like nerds. Hey maybe they won't actually have to put their hands on the wheel of their cars to steer but they can just make the motion like they're driving just like in the movies! And pretty soon we won't have to interact with each other at all...technology will do it all for us.

Steven Speilberg wasn't too far off in Minority Report, was he?

Yup I've been on here for 6 years and it's the only place I regularly post but if you want to say that something would make you look like a nerd you need to look at what you do first.
